Bad Idea #24: Hoping For Clouds

SPF50 wouldn't help.
It's a nice Summer day, with a few puffy clouds in the sky. Partly cloudy? Partly sunny? One fellow is wishing it was overcast. Why would he wish such a thing? Oh, because of the situation he is in.
He's strapped down, nude, and in a sort of building or gazebo. That would not be just too bad, but up in the roof there is this big window that is not a mere window, but a giant lens. If it is sunny at the just right time, or from his point of view, just the wrong time, the rays all concentrate on his nuts and they will be cooked. Well done. Charred.
On the good side, there is a sort of guard, curved over the arc of where the focus will move with time so he will not have anything else cooked or burnt. But there is that nasty gap, placed just so. Oh, it's almost that time. Is that cloud in front of the sun about to cover it just in time to save him, or is it about to uncover it just in time for sun-fried nuts?

So deliciously cruel.

Isn't it? Whoever set this up might not even be there to witness whatever might happen, just left him to fate.

Or she can just return in the evening and turn on the electric light.

Yes, but not quite the same seeing it happen, or not happen. Sort of, "Oh, I see you've survived the day intact." or "Ah, I see it was sunny at noon. Hurt much?" I don't see the artificial light as being anything likely to be damaging, assuming it's a just a regular light.

my my now that is torture. Wonder if it will or won't happen. And will he be kept there another day if it does not happen this time around?

I can see as a "Trial by Ordeal" or By Chance - with more days in the at-risk position the harsher the sentence. One day one might get lucky. Two maybe. But, say, ten days and it's not a sure thing but we all know which is the way to bet.

Let us hope it don't to many days of waiting on his part or he will die from no food or water, it it takes to long to get the sun to have a good sunny day. Hell, by then if it did come out, it might miss the mark and burn him in another spot if at all? So if we are doing the "Trial by Ordeal" or "By Chance" the window will only be open for a day or two to hit its mark and do a good job on him, after that he would only have some bad burns on them, but no burning them off. Shame, I think I love to watch that.

Oh, I don't expect he'd be there continuously. Unless someone was really cruel, anyway. But he'd have plenty of time to lie or sit there and think about it happening and watch the sky. Positions of things might be adjustable maybe in an analema pattern...

Hahahah....now that was just evil. I love it!
