Please help!! STOLEN Fursona - being made as a suit

Hey guys. I need all the help I can get spreading the word about this!!!! 
Akinite vanished off FA, DA and elsewhere. But it still doesn't mean that it is right to steal anyone's characters even if they vanish for awhile. D:
Akinite / Pixie Corgi's Angel Dragon character 
Frost~ was stolen by a user named wickeddeercreations on Instagram, and is being made as a suit by her. When approached by both 
Sockune, who made Frost~'s ref sheet (since she reposted their ref on her Instagram) and myself, she lied saying it was Akinite that stole it from her, but when proven wrong she blocked me. Luckily I was able to get most of the links to her videos and submissions since I can still see them when I log out of the site.

UPDATE: She has since made her Instagram private. No one will be able to see the links unless you are following her. I was able to make an alt and am following her currently. I will not say what the account name is but I will keep you all updated. She has since removed all pics of Frost she stole from sockune and akinite and also removed all her suit videos of her WIP of Frost. She appears to also have removed the art of her other 2 angel dragons she drew. She is however still trying to argue Frost is hers, even though all art and videos are now off her page:

To see if it was them or not I would that you should tell them to send you a message from there FA to verify and that if not you will be reporting that they have stolen a character!

Stealing characters is really not cool, I hope she's stopped. I hate thieves, especially those who try to steal characters since they mean a lot to the owners :( If anyone was to ever try to steal one of my babies they would not get a nice reaction from me

So if they can't get the guy to stop taking the character they can bring the guy to court about it.
There was a ver popular case that happened with Disney, where a school was having a bakesale and they used Micky Mouse on there table banner, and Disney sued them for copyright. It might seem a bit harsh, but if they didnt do that a lo of other people would start to copyright Disney also.
In other words she has the right to say you can't have a suit of my character and even take them to court over it, but she doesn't have to if she doesn't want to.
the only thing a copyright wont protect is an idea, ie story plot, character pose, and the like. Like how someone could basically write harry potter but change the characters, school, city, world, magic, and whatnot. its still got the same plot line (which is the idea) but is now a different story. Or how there are angel dragons but there are different kinds angel dragons are the idea here which aren't protected, but the individual characters people create are protected.
This is just like what happened with Lazer accept the fact the character wasn't bought.

Also tried to educate myself further on copyright because as an artist, it is important to know. If anybody's curious, wikipedia has some useful information on copyright. But i'm sure there are also other websites to research it.

Anyway. This is incredibly unfortunate that this happened, and as i have said in my journal i encourage other artists to sign their work and watermark it. Stamp it with your personal self, any way that you can. It's sad we can't prevent people like this from doing this kind of stuff, but we can back ourselves up with lots of proof if we mark our work and save files for art.
I hope this person becomes too ashamed to even wear that suit, let alone "own" that character. Absolutely sad.

also thank you again pearl for looking out for me. i truly appreciate it. just making sure was it all taken down of my AD on facebook? i contacted the artist too to talk to them and other but never got a closed case if it was still going on or not.

In this case. The artwork and design of the character is copyrighted but it's not enough to take to civil court.
You have a 50/50 chance of winning the case unless it's also TRADEMARKED. It always helps cases such as these.
For instance when someone steals a design from Disney. Disney doesn't win because of a copyright but also because it's a trademark.
Trademarks and copyright together always trumps over having JUST a copyright.
So, when spending hundreds to thousands of dollars on a fursuit make sure to trademark it as well.
