Convention - Furry Fiesta 2015 FINAL SCHEDULE!
I have a lot of stuff going on this year and I basically got all of the space and times I could possibly want. BE SURE TO THANK THE CONVENTION!! The short event list will be in the first section, with the detailed event view in the second. Both sections will have clickable titles leading to the Facebook Werewolf Events page so that you can keep track of it with your modern social media and calendars.
Oh, and as a heads up, Puppy Chow will primarily only be available during spectator events and panels, with special access to those who are helping fund my convention costs. I'll only have 4 batches this year, and they likely will not be pouched like last year. Flavors are: Mint, Peppermint, Pumpkin Spice, and Apple Cinnamon.
Thursday, 9pm-5am - Main - Social and Silly
Friday, 4pm-6:30pm - Panel #1 - Town Mayor Training: How to be a Great Werewolf GM (Required to GM the Overflow games / Required to own the PKD Promo Pack)
Friday, 8pm-9pm - Panel #2 - Why Should I Play 'Werewolf'?
Friday, 9pm-1am - Main #1 - New-Player Introduction Games, Limit 25
Friday, 10pm-3am - Overflow - Advanced Games
'Friday', 1am-5am - Main #2 - Option Games
Saturday, 7pm-10pm - Main #1 - No-Reveal Game, Limit 30
Saturday, 8:30pm-5am - Overflow - Basic Games
Saturday, 10pm-5am - Main #2 - No-Reveal Games, Open Mayor
Sunday, 8:30pm-3am - Main - Open Mayor Games
*Thursday - Main - Social and Silly
--9:00PM - ~5:00AM
--Waterford Room, 2F
For the first evening of the convention, I will be hosting games with a relaxed light-hearted atmosphere. Expect plenty of use of the Wild Roles following the warm-up game for new players.
If the games are large enough, expect Princess, Knight, and Dragon to see some use. Also, if there is a need for it, and the room across the hall is open, there will be overflow games.
NOTE: This is the only day that we will be in the Waterford room in the back portion of the hotel.
*Friday - Panel #1 - Town Mayor Training: How to be a Great Werewolf GM
--4:00PM - ~6:30PM
--Garden Court - Inside, 1F
Always wanted to learn the basics of hosting Werewolf games, but haven't managed to get my attention to sit down and teach you? Hosted games before and just aren't sure where you're going wrong? Curious how I manage to do such a great job when I host? Come to this panel!
This is also currently the only way to obtain the Princess, Knight, and Dragon promotional card pack. You must attend the event and also pass a test on things discussed in the panel. (Careful, some questions are intentionally tricky or trivial.)
*Friday - Panel #2 - Why Should I Play 'Werewolf'?
--8:00PM - 9:00PM
--Garden Court - Inside, 1F
If you've never heard of Werewolf before, or if you've only loosely heard about it, stop by this panel and see what all the hype is about. :)
Werewolf is a great way to hone your intellect and social skills in a condensed social experience of deduction and deceit. In this panel, I'm going to discuss the various social benefits gained from this type of gameplay as well as some history of what Werewolf has done for me personally.
*Friday - Main #1 - New-Player Introduction Games, Limit 25
--9:00PM - 1:00AM
--Garden Court - Inside, 1F
If you've never given Werewolf or even Mafia a chance before, now is the best time! Join myself (Tobias) and only the nicest of my advanced players (:P) for a few rounds of Werewolves of the Dark Arts catered towards first timers.
WotDA is a great way to hone your intellect and social skills in a condensed social experience of deduction and deceit. If you're too shy to take part yourself, even after the introduction panel, at least stick around and watch for a round or two. It's a lot of fun to me in the midst of the mystery!
The new-player games will be limited to only 25 people, but we will be sure to alternate who is playing so that all of the new people get a chance to play. Additionally, spectator seats will be available for those that just want to watch.
*Friday - Overflow - Advanced Games
--10:00PM - 3:00AM
--Garden Court - Outside/Hall, 1F
While the New-Player games are taking place in the main Werewolf room, the overflow area will be where you'll be playing if you already know the game. The other event will be capped at 25 players, with flexible arrangements being made on-site for the overflow games.
This event will be located in the open area immediately to the side of the Garden Court, and potentially also in the hallway nearby depending on final arrangements.
Additionally, ONLY people who have successfully passed the Town Mayor Quiz at either Oklacon or Furry Fiesta will be allowed to assist in hosting the Overflow games for this year. If you are planning to help host on either Friday or Saturday, and did not previously attend the Werewolf GM event at Oklacon, you will need to attend the Furry Fiesta GM event.
*'Friday' - Main #2 - Option Games
--1:00AM - ~5:00AM
--Garden Court - Inside, 1F
After the New-Player games conclude, I will be introducing the most enjoyable of the "Mystery" style games, the Option game. This will be many players first foray into a limited-information approach to the roles in a game, creating gaps for the Evil guys to crawl around in and massacre everyone.
How an Option game works:
The deck with identity cards consists of two parts. The Core Deck, and the Option Deck. The Core Deck consists of cards that will 100% for sure be in the final deck. The Option Deck, however, has many more cards than what is needed to complete the Core Deck. While you are told what the Option Deck consists of, it is shuffled and a certain number of cards from it are randomly added to the Core Deck to create the Final Deck that gets dealt out.
Example:
You have 7 players.
Core Deck - Werewolf, Werewolf, Seer.
Option Deck - Villager(x4), Heretic(x2), Bodyguard, Oracle, Sorceress, Fool.
Final Deck - Werewolf(x2), Seer, Heretic, Villager(x2), Sorceress.
Normally such a combination for the final deck would be an instant win for the Werewolves, but because no one knows the exact contents of the Final Deck, the game can still be won by the Villagers.
*Saturday - Main #1 - No-Reveal Game, Limit 30
--7:00PM - 10:00PM
--Garden Court - Inside, 1F
The climax for the convention, WotDA will once again be holding an epic No-Reveal game on Saturday. To participate, you MUST be able to stay for 3-4 hours. No-Reveal games are intense, because the only information that you will ever get from anyone is what they've said and done. Role cards are not revealed when someone dies, so you are never informed if they were telling the truth or not. And if they died before saying anything? Oh boy...
For those interested in this game, take note that it is starting MUCH EARLIER than last year. A big thanks to the convention for being able to make this happen for me. This means that the game should be much more accessible for everyone.
Additionally, overflow games will NOT be starting until 8:30PM. This game is not only supposed to be epic to participate in, but also epic to watch. Spectator seats will be arranged for this game. Additionally, a time limit of 30 minutes will be imposed for the first THREE day phases to make sure the game progresses.
*Saturday - Overflow - Basic Games
--8:30PM - 5:00AM
--Garden Court - Outside/Hall, 1F
The No-Reveal game WILL take a while. We all know that. So what can you do aside from watch the insanity? (Well worth it, in my opinion) Or what if you don't want to play in such a serious game? No-Reveals are certainly intimidating, and aren't suggested for those who are new.
Well, we will have some overflow space for simpler, easier games. These games will be fairly new-player friendly, so don't worry too much about having played before or not. So if you're wanting to learn the game, you'll still have an easy time jumping in. ♥
*Saturday - Main #2 - No-Reveal Games, Open Mayor
--10:00AM - ~5:00AM
--Garden Court - Inside, 1F
Once the main No-Reveal game is complete, I (Tobias) will be passing on the headset to a certified alternate Mayor and joining the No-Reveal fun. Assuming I am allowed to live for a bit, I can make most games I play in very memorable. :) Do look forward to it!
The rest of the night will be No-Reveal games, though the Overflow room will continue to be available to those who have no interest in the No-Reveal game type.
*Sunday - Main - Open Mayor Games
--8:30PM - 3:00AM
--Garden Court - Inside, 1F
Last day of the convention. We're all plenty tired. And for one day of the convention I want to sit down and enjoy playing games instead of just hosting them. I mean, I love hosting, but that's not the only way to teach the game to people. Some things can only be taught while being an active player.
So on Sunday, I'll be opening up the main area for volunteer Town Mayors. I will be giving preference to those who have bought a copy of WotDA so that they are able to get some experience before heading off on their own, or to those that have passed the Town Mayor Quiz.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I, for one, will only be up until around 3AM rather than the usual 5-6AM for this day. That means the sound system will be broken down around that time, however those that still haven't gotten enough Werewolf are welcome to continue to play following that. Also, we should still have access to the overflow space in case we need to make use of it.

Q: If I see you, how should I get your attention?
A: Raise one hand and point with the other. Or just say 'Tobias', since I can pick out that word a half mile away. XD

Q: What's your goal for the con this year?
A: To have fun. If I'm lucky, I will have an even better time than last year. Depends on who I meet, though.
