Amazon Wish List So I have another update!
The constable left a voicemail for me yesterday afternoon. One woman was caught trying to cash one of my cheques and the place positively identified her, so the constable is getting a warrant for her arrest.
Then he called again this morning and said that just as he was about to go off shift, they caught another person with one of my cheques and arrested him on the spot. He just got to town two days ago and is homeless. He went to court this morning.
The constable is going to try to come by here a little later to take my statement (since after they left yesterday was when I discovered the missing cheques).
I went to Futureshop (the same as BestBuy up here in Canada) and bought the cheapest 15"screen laptop that they had. I really couldn't afford to put it on my credit card, but I need it to make my rent money and I figure that insurance would cover it. ... I talked to my insurance agent this morning though, and she said that they won't pay out the price that I paid for the stolen laptop, they will only pay to replace it with something of the same specs... and this laptop is actually BETTER than the stolen one... so I probably won't hit the $1000 in damage/theft. Since my deductible is $1000, they will only pay for anything EXCEEDING that amount. So depending on how much the window at the back of the shop will cost to replace.... it looks like I will personally be on the hook for everything. Insurance wouldn't escalate a claim if it is below the deductible.
So, I want to thank everyone that signal boots that GoFundMe, and super, mega extra thanks to the people that have helped contribute! I will totally try to give something back later... like icons or something cool. :)

... Now I am trying to get this laptop (omg windows 8.1 is weeeeeeeird) to connect to the internet. It is having trouble getting on the wifi hotspot, so I have the internet company trying to figure it out and he will call me back when he gets some answers. Oh, and I set up Paint Tool SAI and my Wacom on it last night. I was having horrible thoughts that they (at least SAI) wouldn't work on it... but they do, so I can at least sketch up some YCHs today and get a side commission for DrewBat started. :)
edit: OH MY GOD! I just went to the gofund me page and saw all of the contributions since last night. Thank all of you so much. I am in tears right now. ;_____; :) <3
