Uni is a tad confusing...the music timetable is soooo messed up, I keep having to sort out clash after clash after clash...
On a lighter note, my composition teacher is awesome and I have my first composition assignment! Here is the rule:
"Write for one or two instruments using two to three chromatically consecutive pitch classes (for instance f and f sharp, or b, c and c sharp). Duration = 2-5mins."
Looks like I'll have to concentrate on the dimensions of music other then pitch!!!
If anyone feels like taking this 'challenge' feel free!
I also got a few examples of such music, if you want a good example, look up "Musica Ricercata" by Gyorgy Ligeti, most notably the 1st and 2nd movements, or "Four pieces on a single note for Orchestra" by Giacinto Scelsi!!!
*edit*
chipuni has taken up the challenge right here!!!
Equium has done one as well, I'll let him decide whether he's putting it up here!!!
Also, just to let you know, this assignment for me is due in 2 weeks, so I won't be posting my version up until then!!! I'll post drafts and such though...=)

FA+

I didn't have a copy of the challenge with me. I didn't realize that I could have used two instruments. Ah, well.
