Hope all works out for you two, and sorry that I can't donate anything right now. This economic downfall is really taking a toll on everyone. I'm a salesman right now, and I've lost about a third of my monthly income due to slumping sales. We had another friend in a similar situation come to us directly for help, and we painfully had to turn her away too. You can't help others if you can't help yourself, you know?

As for medical conditions, instead of disability, you may want to check with your state's labor office for programs that help disabled citizens get jobs they can do in the workforce. Those programs generally help you faster than waiting on disability, and you may end up making more money in the end.

As far as finding places to live, check around for income-based housing. Not sure what the market is down there, but up here in Pennsylvania, there's lots of HUD-sponsored developments - some actually nice - for people with low income.

Basically, I'm suggesting ways for you both to help yourselves in this situation, as everyone is so badly burned by the economy. I'd hate to see you both go under while the hope of assistance dwindles. That, and for me, I hate asking for help - but not as much as I hate feeling helpless. At least if I know I'm exploring every possible avenue and doing everything within my power to help myself, I can tolerate help from others.

i am sorry to hear about whats going on with you guys ozzy and tavi knows he cant talk to me about things since he is my big bwo but seems lately he has been distant to me and such. i want to help with funds and that but i have already put money into art for him and such. and if i am able to do more here soon i will see what i can do and such. i do love him and miss him alot and just wish he would not push me aside and not tell me whats up. cause i have been there for him through the whole divorce crap and such. but if i get some funds soon i will send some you some that way. *hugs and nuzzles you both* tavi needs to talk more i am always there for him.

Stay well and as stress free as you can. I feel sympathy for you, as a Lab Tech I see lots of unfortunate bloodwork. It sucks to have your own cells trying to kill you. But I don't know if you have ever seen your blood work under a microscope, but lupus cells are IMO are pretty looking
