Unfortunately I have a job that requires being outside as its nature conservancy, so I HAVE to be outside during the cold, AWAY from anything warm on fields and in forests :C
And in Summer I'll just put a kiddy pool on my balcony and plant my ass in it SOOO

The size of the person matters in this. Larger peeps seem to love cold weather because they have more natural insulation. And warming up even without heat is as easy as putting a blanket on. For us thinner folk, cold literally goes to the bone. And stacking on 5-6 blankets is not viable, nor will a fire adequately warm you in -20f weather (and colder with windchill as the winds blow 20-40 mph). I take hot showers in the summer, because I cool quickly. I don't even use air conditioning in 80-90f degree weather.

So, not everyone is the same, more or less. I can cool down very easily without electricity (go for a swim in the Great Lakes. They're icy cold even mid summer.) But when it comes to cold, I can't put enough on to stay warm. Without electricity, I would be headed south.

I wouldn't say "scientifically", because scientifically it depends on a lot of different variables (metabolism, core body temperature, genetics, temperature of the air, humidity, and the list can go on), as well as personal opinion of what is "too hot" (mental state of being). Scientifically speaking, it takes just as much energy to warm something as it does to cool something, otherwise energy would be destroyed or created, violating the law of conservation of energy. Understanding that we are not metal, there is a lot of energy used in different ways by different people. So while two people are in the same temperature room, one might be taking clothes off complaining about heat, while the other is throwing more on because they feel cold.

So, even scientifically, people are different. I'm sitting in 75F, and wishing it were still five degrees warmer in here.

I pray for at least once a time we had winter here in South America, specially Venezuela which is stucked in an eternal summer ;A;

Because snow comes with bitter cold. It can come no other way. And as much as you think you might like snow, when it comes down in three or four feet and you have to shovel your car out in sub zero temperatures just to go to work.. No. So done with snow. And cold.

I actually have a suggestion that might actually make this banner situation easier on you guys.

why not implement a system where people send in banners as a separate type of submission (like avatars vs submitting artwork), and all the admins need to do is approve them to have them cycled in? that way the banners would hardly ever become stagnant, and even more people could get exposure via drawing banners for the site? they could even each either link to the artists page, or even have a small icon at the corner for navigation there.

the idea that you guys have to manually banner all the time is adding to the whole concept that nobodies home D:

A fast-response time on behalf of the staff and a decent activity coupled with professionalism and punctuality would be required for that to happen.

You can add an exception to Adblock so it doesn't block the banner but still blocks other ads.

and sadly complains are sometimes the only thing one can do when left with no other options. A lot of people have tried to help FA. You can google just horror story after horror story about people trying to help and suggest things. Nothing happens. It seems neer doesn't want to listen unless people raise a fuss about things and it's sad. Hell someone made a new UI for FA that neer was all on board with Neer forgot about it and ditched the idea even thought it would have been amazing if put into play. It makes me sad I'd loveeeee to use this site fully and love it even more but our layout is stuck 10 years ago and we have a ton of bugs that are annoying and for year's they have never touched or in the case of thumbnails made it 10x worse then fixing it OTL. I'm sorry if I come off as ranty in this but we do give FA something , we give it content causing more people to join , making more people donate or buy ad's because this place is so full. Remember , if FA didn't have it's people. It wouldn't have anything. Don't even get me started on the wrost PR I've ever seen a company do as well as racking up debts and not spending money in proper places either. It's just dgdfsf worrysome to me one would figure such a site would give more back to the people who use it everyday. Apparently a banner is serious business So many complaints about a banner being late. Really though? Who cares if it is late, it is just a banner.

If a site can't even change a banner to reflect the proper season/holiday, it doesn't paint the site owners' competency in a positive light (like, if they're too lazy to take a minute to switch a banner to reflect the right season/holiday, what does it say about their ability to fix the more important issues that riddle the site?)

Anyone who's been here for more than a year knows the answer to that question (almost four years since the promise of a new UI was made...and we're still waiting).

Just to comment to both of yours with just one - That might be true, but I still see it as needless bitching. Out of all these comments, I rather see the ones to point out that we still don't have Phonix rather than bitch about a banner just because there isn't snow in someone's area. Maybe a shitload of banners should be made so that the Admin team don't have any excuse for not changing the banner next time.

I'm really confused. Spring officially starts on 01 March here, and always has. Plants also begin to blossom halfway through the month, when it quickly starts getting quite warm. Snow anytime in March is usually an exception as well.

Perhaps this is different in America than it is here in Europe? I actually remember once hearing that in the US, seasons (as in temperatures) are offset by one month later. In that case I can imagine a slightly different calendar, although I never heard of such till now.

Yes, quite honestly I do. Just a few months ago I came across a military babyfur who posted a journal how he molested his puppy. This is quite honestly repeat behavior for those who identify under the babyfur cliche. Have I hung out with different groups, including babyfurs? Yes actually. I've hung out with nothing but babyfurs before on multiple occasions, different groups. (usually around 15-20 peeps, almost all babyfurs except me). Meeting at some of their houses, I was rather displeased how they spent money on a full size adult crib(playstation mounted on the side) while living in poverty, but hey that's their choice.

I'm very honest all the time and that's not going to change. I'm not in any way being hateful, but truthful while showing my distaste.

Im not getting involved in the arguement but just wanted to comment. The majority of babyfurs I know..are not babyfurs because of some sexual kink or fetish, it isn't sexual to me and them at all and is more a lifestyle choice, much like being a furry is. Granted there are always gonna be a percentage that will be into that as a fetish, like diaper furs but they are different than babyfurs. For once I am on 's side with this.
