Hello everyfur, Amadhia “Dreamsong” here!

Texas Furry Fiesta was simply _amazing_!!! To perform with dear friends Fox, Rhubarb, Cosmik, Dolphin Boy, Krolzjin and AJA again was awesome-- to be able to get to know Matthew Ebel and Pepper Coyote and see their shows was wonderful!

Deepening friendships and making new friends is one of the greatest things about going to a furry convention!

Now that we're back, It's time to open the Furry Musicians' Spotlight once again! (See below for details)

So... I'd like to try something I've been wanting to do since Asia and Puppy asked me to be the host for the Spotlight: I would like to see if we can get the Furry Musicians' Spotlight up on iTunes as a Podcast.

The Spotlight here on FA will continue on much as it has been, with the addition of some new things here and there, so not to worry! :)

The exiting news is, if we do get picked up for syndication on iTunes, we'd be creating the opportunity for your music to be heard by an even larger audience. For the iTunes version of the Spotlight I'll need to focus on original works so we do not infringe on any copyright laws. (I feel as though some pressure to create original works will eventually inspire us all to create more original music in the long-run! :)

So keep your paws crossed for luck that what we do now will slowly begin to raise awareness of Furry Music in both The Fandom as a whole, and the world-at-large, even perhaps begin to raise the world-at-large's opinion of Furs in general! I know that we are a group of fun-loving, creative, talented individuals who are fans of that which we ourselves create, and I think others will do good with a similar outlook!

Just a reminder that in order to be in the spotlight, there has to be a section of your song long enough to showcase that is PG rated!

*In your submission, be sure to let us know how to pronounce your and/or your song's name if there might be any question!*

The _ONLY_ way to minimize the chances of our mispronouncing your name or song in the show is to let us know IN THE SUBMISSION... every time!



Please keep in mind that we do not necessarily select the BEST piece, simply the piece to be Spotlighted. Sometimes the pieces are professional quality, and sometimes it's a first, low-quality recording. Don't be hurt if you think a song that is "inferior" to yours is spotlighted. We are all musicians, and all deserve recognition for our talents!

Remember, submitting your song on this page doesn't mean it will be spotlighted, it means we promise to look at it and consider it for the show. We still browse the music submitted over the past week, though we don't have time to listen to every one submitted. Posting your song on this journal guarantees we give it a listen. It does not, however, get priority over other songs that are not posted here!


Songs MUST be hosted on FA to be considered. If only a portion of your song is on FA, it must be clear, no advertisement to listen to it another place in the audio, and long enough to spotlight.

For this first, FA Furry Musicians' Spotlight of 2015, we'll be accepting any submission posted to FA in 2015.



And don't forget, this isn't a contest! It's a Spotlight!
