Anti-Drama Llama Movement Newsletter
Okay, this one's going to be short since I've had a pretty busy day today with lots of traveling, errands, and more.
I'm spending the weekend with my wife at her folks' place, and while I'm writing this Spotlight on the PC there, I'm not going to have a whole lot of time to focus on searching for furs in need and other Movement work since they have plenty of work for me to do here (and other goings-ons)
So this will be a short, but sweet Spotlight to end the week on. On Monday, I'll be back home and able to devote more time to seeking those in need of help. In the meantime, if there is anyone you know that needs help, please PM me with a link to the journal about their situation so I can make sure they get noticed.
Also, on Monday, I will be going through this week's journals and updating the Risk Journals for those who are still in dire straights as far as money goes.
In the meantime, I want to thank all our new members who have been coming out of the woodwork to support this cause. It makes me very happy to know that so many people want to see this work.
By the end of March, I can only imagine how far we will go, and at this rate, it will be astronomical. Thank you everyone for participating. You guys ROCK!

Also, on a side note, does anyone know what the code is to strike out text in a comment or journal? I know there's a way to do it, but I'm not sure how. If you can Comment about that in here, that would help me out when going through and doing updates.
That's about it. I'm hoping that if there are any folks I missed today that they will be well until I can sit down and find them. (Or if folks can help find them for me)
Also, a couple of things I'd like to do next week.
*I want to open a discussion on
allan if possible. I know that the drama surrounding him and the situation at hand has probably been something everyone and their brother has talked about.
But, despite his banning, I still feel like he got a rather harsh treatment from most of the community, and I want to gather thoughts about him, suggestions (reasonable ones mind you) on how he can be helped, and what the Movement should do if there are ever situations like his in the future.
I want to do this, but I am also putting my foot down that I want comments to be cordial and non-flaming. This will be a sort of test to really push the limits on whether or not we can discuss tough topics without falling to the Drama Llama.
*Second, I've had a few suggestions come my way about possible things we can do with the Movement to increase ways it can help its members and the Community. I'd like to share the suggestions and ideas that have come my way and see what everyone here thinks.
Feel free to voice yays, nays, interests, questions, comments, additional suggestions, and more when I present them next week.
*Third, the monthly raffle has already gotten some very strong support in just the first week of March alone! I'd like to see if there's a way we can get 20 or more donating artists before tickets go on sale on March 15th.
I also would like to know if any artists are interested in donating some additional work for a 2nd and 3rd prize. If you don't have the time, that's okay, but I want to give a little more back to the ticket purchasers if possible by increasing the odds of winning something.
For example, 1st prize can get a full body digital color picture, 2nd could get a colored bust, and 3rd could get a black and white sketch. This is just an idea, but already
sssage has come up with a neat way by offering three prints of their's for the winners. 1st gets first pick, 2nd gets one of the two remaining, and 3rd gets the one leftover.
Lastly, here are the rest of the week's Spotlights:
March 05th, 2009
March 04th, 2009
March 03rd, 2009
March 02nd, 2009
That's it for now. I hope everyone has a great weekend and gets some nice rest and relaxation to avoid the Drama Llama. Take care everyone!
And to
masterzero, I already got Kate covered in the March 4th journal. I'll make sure she gets noticed. :)
Now let's go out there and do some good!
