Boston Area Furry Luncheon 48 (Four years of Luncheons!)
Event:
Our monthly Boston Area Furry Luncheon
When:
Every second Sunday of each month, at 1:00PM.
The next luncheon will be held on
Sunday, March 8, 2014
For those of you who need a month’s notice, the following luncheon will be held on:
Sunday, April 12, 2015
Where:
The 99 in Chalestown
29-31 Austin Street; Charlestown, MA 02129-3502
Phone: (617) 242-8999 .
It’s a short walk from the Community College T stop, on the Orange Line, and there is plenty of free parking. The prices for meals are reasonable. Finally, there’s free popcorn for those of you who can’t afford a full meal and vegetarian options for us herbivores. Just ask the wait staff. ^!^
For more details, you can go to: http://www.99restaurants.com/ .
(Sorry to say it, but we’ve got to have) Rules:
We don’t need to make a reservation, but I request that you send me an RSVP, so we can get ourselves and the restaurant an idea of how many are coming. Please send your RSVP’s for this moths luncheon to this post.
No one under the age of 16 will be admitted. No one of ages 16 or 17 will be admitted without permission from their parents. The PDF’s for the permission slips are posted here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/5929875/ please follow the instructions provided. I know this may sound silly, but I’m just trying to prevent the possibility of any sort of trouble.
I know there are those of you who are dying to wear your fursuits or your partials. I’m afraid that’s not the purpose of this event. The purpose of this event is to create an opportunity for us to get to know each other. The presence of something like a fursuit may make someone, who is new to the group, uncomfortable. Furry artwork, illustrated clothing, convention badges, ears, tails and even collars will be allowed. After all, it will help someone new find our group! ^.^ If anyone feels uncomfortable because the rest of our are "showing too much furry pride," please bring the matter up with me, first.
Note: It is not essential, but I’m encouraging each and every one of us to tip. This will ensure that we maintain a good relationship with the staff. The minimum wage for “tipped services” is about half that of other forms of employment. Therefore, most waitstaff rely heavily on tips, as their source of income. An average tip would be between 15% and 20% of the total cost of your meal. If you need any help calculating this amount, please let us know. Also, I can teach short-cuts for doing this in one’s head. ^!^
Questions, Comments, and Contact Info:
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to send me a Note.
Also, if you would like to lend a paw, claw, hoof, wing, fin, tentacle, mandible, or whatever, in coordinating this event, I’ll be glad to hear from you. ^!^
