This has been requested by several people in the last year, so I'm going to do it again. There will be another dance party on May 9. Just like RI Furbowl 25, there will be a bowling event in the afternoon followed by a dance party in the evening. These are being considered separate events taking place on the same day with separate payments.
There's a lot of information in this post, so here's a summary before I get into the details:
* RI Furbowl 38 will be held at 1 p.m. at East Providence Lanes. It will cost $10 per person to bowl. This is a separate cost than that for the Furry Dance. You may pick up your badges for the dance at the alley or the hotel.
* The party will be held at the Comfort Inn in Pawtucket. There is a hotel room block with 15 rooms that is now open. The price is $123.17 after taxes with four-person occupancy. Call 401-723-6700 and mention that you are in the "RI Furry Dance" room block. The deadline for this special rate is April 10.
* The RI Furry Dance Party will start at 6 p.m. and end at midnight. There will be a pizza buffet served. Your DJs will be Drahck, Nevin and DJ Code.
* The cost of registration for the party is $20 to be either sent via PayPal to CirrusSkyDragon{at}aim.com or paid to me in cash only on May 9. You may sign the registration form at this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1jyBD7IY5MrJIe47l2a-WjEWcG9YUuEjNMpfkk3dt2Rw/viewform
I was hoping to hold some other event on the Sunday of that weekend, but then I realized that Sunday, May 10 is Mother's Day. I'm willing to let people leave if they have something going on with their families. For those who don't leave, I may hold some other event, like a meet at Slater Park.

RI FURBOWL 38 - EAST PROVIDENCE LANES, EAST PROVIDENCE, 1 p.m.
The bowling alley is East Providence Lanes at 80 Newport Avenue, East Providence, RI. (MAP IS HERE) The building is in the corner a shopping plaza with a McDonald's in the parking lot.
The bowling lanes are all standard ten-pin bowling. There is no duckpin or candlepin bowling here.
We will have access to a party room and our own assigned lanes. Bowling leagues should be ending by the time we arrive, so it may be crowded getting in.
The cost for bowling will be $10 per person. This is separate from the cost for the dance party.
There will be a line for picking up your badges for the dance party. If you pre-registered, your information will be verified with what you supplied to the online form (see Registration section below). If you are registering that day, I will have a form for you to sign and you'll have to pay in cash only. I will NOT accept checks, credit cards or debit cards. Badges will be made available for attendees and they must be worn at all times at the hotel.
The party room is an open space and has over time become a social gathering place. However, it also doubles as our fursuit changing area and break room. Therefore, there will be no privacy for fursuiters, and attendees must be respectful of the property left behind by others. If you need private space to change, the alley will be able to provide an office for you. Fursuits are welcome in the alley and on the lanes, however, I advise that you do NOT first enter the alley in costume. Please change up inside the building and then you can go outside. Ears, tails, collars and fursuits are welcome.
No outside food is allowed in the alley, but there is a concession stand. While you are at the alley, you must pay for your own food and drink. There is a bar and all standard Rhode Island alcohol consumption laws are in effect. Underage drinking is not allowed and do not buy drinks for those who are underage. If you do drink, please do so in moderation.
As always, please be on your best behavior and use common sense. We will have a very large and noticeable group there. There will be families and children present. Please be courteous to the other guests of the alley and do not interfere with their own parties and games. You are representing the Furry Fandom while you are there. The Code of Conduct is here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/3321444/

HOTEL - COMFORT INN, PAWTUCKET, 4 p.m.
At about 4 p.m., we will head to the Comfort Inn at 2 George Street, Pawtucket, RI. (MAP IS HERE) Their phone number is 401-723-6700.
DIRECTIONS from the bowling alley to the hotel: https://goo.gl/maps/ubSrr It is about a 10-minute drive.
The hotel is attached to a pub called Murphy's Law. Please do NOT park in front of the pub. Those spaces are set aside for their regular customers. Please park on either side of the hotel or towards the back and then walk to the hotel entrance.
There is a room block set up with 15 rooms. They all have two Queen-size beds and are non-smoking rooms. The special room rate is $109 plus 13% tax ($123.17). There is a maximum occupancy of four people in the room, so splitting the room four ways comes out to $30.80 per person. Initial payment must be with a credit card. When you call the hotel to book your room, tell them that you are part of the "RI Furry Dance" room block so you can get the special rate. This rate is only available until April 10.
All attendees must abide by the rules and regulations of the hotel while on property. Do not hold any loud parties in your room or they will ask you to be quiet or else you will be asked to leave by the hotel staff. Do not have more than four people in your room. Food and beverages from outside the hotel are allowed in your room, however, any food or beverages from the banquet room must stay in the banquet room. (I would suggest that you ask for a mini-fridge when booking your room.) Please clean up after yourselves.
---
DINNER - COMFORT INN/MURPHY'S LAW, PAWTUCKET, 6 p.m.
A buffet dinner will begin at about 6 p.m. You will be served a variety gourmet pizzas supplied by the pub and restaurant next door, Murphy's Law. There will also be salad, soda, tea, coffee (regular and decaf), cookies and brownies. If you wish, you may ask for a dinner menu and the staff will cook something for you instead. If you have any dietary issues or food allergies, please let us know in the Comments section of the online registration form as soon as possible.
Food and drinks from the dinner must stay in the banquet room, and outside food and drinks must stay out. You may bring outside food to your hotel room instead.
Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the banquet room. If you wish, you may go to the pub to have a drink next door, but your drinks must stay in the pub and not in our banquet room or your hotel room. You may buy outside alcohol, but it can only go to your hotel room. All standard Rhode Island alcohol consumption laws are in effect. The pub will card everyone. Underage drinking is not allowed and do not buy drinks for those who are underage. If you do drink, please do so in moderation.
If you try to enter the pub in fursuit, then they will likely not serve you. Murphy's Law is a private establishment and you are subject to their rules while you are in there. The regular Saturday night crowd will be in attendance with their own entertainment.
---
RI FURRY DANCE PARTY - COMFORT INN, PAWTUCKET, until midnight
After the dinner, a dance party will begin in the same room. I have
DrahckWolf,
DJ_Code and
Nevinfox as the DJs for the night. The party must end at midnight and it would be appreciated if people stayed around to help break down the equipment.
Fursuits are allowed. Be aware that the room's lights will be dimmed, but we have our own lighting equipment. There are plans for either setting up a sectioned-off area as a headless fursuit lounge or if it is available, a small adjoining room could be the lounge instead. I would also ask for people to donate portable fans or air driers.
People may come and go into the room as they please. You must have your badges on you at all times. There will be a badge checkpoint at the entrance of the room.
The pub next door will have their regular Saturday night crowd with their own entertainment and music. You may choose to walk over there, but I strongly advise that you do not go in fursuit. Murphy's Law is a private establishment and you are subject to their rules while you are in there.
