UPDATE TO DONATIONS AND STATUS!
Oh my god everyone, seriously. I love you all. Thank you SO much for all of your donations and all of your kind words. Sammy is still not out of the woods yet, but she seems to be doing better. The stitches are holding, and her temperature is down, but those are still my biggest worries, since the infection still isn't gone. The wound could still dehis, but I've got my fingers crossed that along with her medications and keeping her calm and protected, that, that complication won't arise.
The current amount obtained through all forms of donation (Both paypal and Indigogo) is $1900 usd! We're getting there!
I seriously don't know what to say to express my gratitude to everyone who's donated so far, and to those who have been supportive. I'll try to keep you all updated on her condition and progress with the vet bill payment. I did make a chunk of payment yesterday, but there's still a little way to go before it is all paid off.
Sorry I've been a bit delayed on work, with everything going on. Been having a bit of trouble with time management this week, but I'm sure you all know why. I'll be getting back in the swing of things ASAP.

UPDATE ON SAMANTHA'S STATUS -- March 18 - Sam's back home. She's sleepy and isn't feeling well, and on heavy medication. Tail nub looks good right now. Is draining some, but not as much as it was last night according to the doctor.
She has an appointment with the vet tomorrow to make sure everything is going good. That was included in cost of surgery, as is drain tube removal and healing progress checkups.
March 17, 2015
Alright, so Samantha (Black Lab, 7 years old) is in the veterinary hospital for immediate emergency surgery to amputate her tail. Her condition took a rapid turn for the worse, even with strong antibiotics. Her tail turned septic overnight.
It was either remove the tail, or lose her.
The cost of this surgery will be $3,000 usd. I don't have it.
If anyone wishes to donate anything they possibly can, i'd be immensely grateful, and so would Sam.
My paypal is Tiger3311[at]aol.com
(INDIGOGO -- http://igg.me/p/to-save-sammy/x/7594089 )
If you're donating, please just tag whatever you send with (To Save Sam.)
If you want, you can include your FA name, and I will put your name on a list to include in a large thank you image that I will be drawing. If you don't wish to include that, then you can donate anonymously.
They can't remove all of the infected tail, so she's going to need extremely heavy antibiotics and a very watchful eye to make sure that the wound heals properly. If it has any complications it could break open again and she could have to go in for another, minor surgery in the future that might include a skin graft. I don't know yet at this time. We will see. Hopefully they will heal properly and everything will be ok.
I don't normally ask for donations or handouts, but at this point I have no choice in the matter. The surgeon must be paid.
A HUGE thank you again to everyone who has donated so far! Your donations are greatly appreciated.

News is looking positive! The first 24 hours are critical and they've passed already. Black labs are the sweetest dogs. Mines almost 12 now and still a big goofball.
