Yeah I understand and they probably should. At least artists should remove their art from here I don't believe its safe at all to display your art on FA anymore. This is coming from someone who is extremely afraid of art theft (and thankfully has never had to deal with it) So take this as you will...  spiritwolfie's comment below says it all.. also the fact that I have to PAY IMVU to remove my art makes me EXTREMELY uneasy... So I am just going to stop this from happening because I can already see things are making a turn for the worst...

So theres a chance they may start taking this seriously, but a quick look at internet wayback a machine and their catalog , and seeing arts that's been there for 'years' with theft gone unpunished and IMVU making money off of each sell... I'm personally not sure how much trust I can offer on this matter..

Did you not bother to read the latest notice? Anything you draw is protected by copyright. And IMVU cant touch it. If they do, you have legal claims for them to take it down. DMCA is what im talking about.

First you must have your work Registered(?)-see toward bottom-
with your local copy right office, your basic "IP right" doesn't apply...

Now, IMVU can't touch the art work thats true, but they can sure as hell force you to pay for the 30-50dollar IP Rights to register your work, Then make you pay for AP just so you can report the stolen artwork (which btw is more money out of the artist wallet)

Also, IMVU has infections, and has a LONG shady history, theirs content that have been stolen on IMVU for "years" that's nothing been done about it , because most people can't even report it due to not having a account + Adult pass (AP) See IMVU's website on the AP part..

Now.. you should totally go check out the ToS on FA that was promised not to be touched/changed, It has recently changed even when NEER said it wouldn't and so did the staff of IMVU also claimed it would not be changed/nor touched, well it was recently edited, Go check.

DMCA isn't as simple as you make it sound, you must be-able to provide proof you own the work, and to do that last time I checked, (I could be wrong here but) You have to have the work 'registered' The rest of what I said holds truth/accurate, in some cases DMCA might be willing to accept watermarks, WIP as proof, they could also choose to request proof of registered copyright.

"Anything you draw is protected by copyright" Wrong.. You get basic IP Right and THATS IT, Please I encourage and beg people to look this stuff up before stating things as facts

This is where you'd register your work if you want it to actually hold up in any ground of legal (Whatever mumbo jumbo I'm to tired to explain)

I use to own 2 business's in Oregon, I run and own multiple websites and I deal with legal stuff almost on a daily bases.

I hope this is helpful, I advise everyone strongly to look into this stuff and do research

I've filed DMCA complaints before. Sites like IMVU and other art pages. Just having proof of ownership like having it uploaded to FA before it was uploaded to another website is usually enough. These sites don't want to get into legal battles, they will take it down with any proof of ownership.

Removed all of my art solely because I want to protect it. My art can still be found here http://wolicoproductions.com/ which is controlled by me and hosted by my friend. Indeed it still is not completely safe but at least hopefully IMVUs users wont find it and want to steal from me.

will you still be on skype? also yay my move is completed. finally back online after much issues with the new router and failing 15 times in a row to give me an IP address and then when i tried to connect to the jetpack upstairs instead that somehow kicked the other connection into working properly. i swear it's given me such a head ache today. and my cable box is the only one not working yet. been 2 hours now and it still wont boot up properly. all the rest in the house are workin but not mine. and everything for our new service is connected from my room on up throughout the house since i am on 1st floor. so why the fuck is my shit the only thing with problems?
