SPECIES:
Tirpen (The name is a combination of 'tir' or to watch/gaze and 'pen' or person in the elvish language of Lord of the Rings. Because I'm a nerd. DEAL WID IT. cx )
TYPES:
Patched and Furred.
LANGUAGE:
They speak telepathically through the gems on their forehead when in crowds or verbally when alone.
PLACE OF ORIGIN:
The Planet of Kolan
CLIMATE:
On land it is rather hot and humid, there are giant flowers and lush vegetation covering the earthy regions of the planet. Much like that of a rainforest there are many colorful animals and plants, both of which can be extremely deadly.
GENDERS:
Male, female, hermaphrodite, genderqueer, intersex, androgny, c-boy, futanari, and every layer inbetween. (I think I may have said some twice and forgotten others. ;n; )
LIFESPAN:
1 - 700 years
HAIR/FUR/SKIN:
Their bodies are made of skin and fur but in very rare cases one is born of living cloth, the body often having to be patched up with pieces of nonliving (generic) cloth as they grow. Their fur/cloth can change colour with the seasons, ie. Lighter in hotter temperatures, darker in colder temperatures. Their fur has been described as softer than silk.
TAIL:
Their tails are extremely fluffy and are often used as a blanket when they are not being used as extra hands. The eyes on the tail are extremely heavy and can be used as a defense mechanism, to distract attackers or to bludgeon them. They have one tail usually and can have a mane.
EARS:
They have two kinds of ears, with many variations of each. Plush Tirpen generally have less fluffy ears than the Furred Tirpen.
FACE:
They have large eyes of either bright white or black in their eyesockets that are sightless. Their muzzles are either feline or canine.
BODY LIMBS:
They have external eyes that have minds of their own. The eyes like to wander off so they are often attached with string. There is also a main eye in the center of their chest that they use to link with their external eyes so they may see through them. They have a single gem in their forehead which matches the color of their hooves and nose.
SIZE:
Female Tierpen are roughly between 3-5 feet tall, males are between 6-8 feet tall if you count their antlers, 5-7 feet tall if you do not.
MATING:
Tierpen reproduce in the same way as humans although the males bear the young. A typical litter is between 3-5 offspring. At the end of the mating the couple will feel a strong pull press their gems together, and if they do then they are paired for life and will soon see their offspring being brought into the world. The touch creates 3-5 small gem laden orbs which are attached to the males tail with string and will float next to him wherever he goes. These orbs are the children of the Tirpen. All Tirpen mate for life, they are unable to be unfaithful to each other as they lose the ability to perform for anyone else. When one dies the other will die as well unless they have young offspring who cannot yet take care of themselves, if that is the case then the still living parent will die as soon as the offspring are of age. If they do not touch gems then they will not be paired and will not have offspring.
COLOR VARIATIONS:
Patch Tirpen generally have bold and vibrant colors, their patches mismatching and random.
Furred Tirpen have a more natural color scheme, browns, reds, yellows, and rarely greens and soft pinks or purples.
DIET:
All Tirpen live off of a diet of fruits and veggies, some furred Tirpen will eat seafood (fish, crabs, and other water dwelling creatures).
