2015 Goals
Ok, the matter that came up and required the previous journal has managed to subside itself, and things are, for the moment, back on track.
Currently, I'm working towards two main goals, that I'm hoping to accomplish before the year is out. One of which, is going to be... somewhat easy to accomplish... the other... not so easy.
But first, let's talk about the second one.
Recent events at this house have just proven how much I need to move out of here, especially if I want to maintain what little sanity I have left. Currently, I'm in negotiations for the possibility of going to either Colorado, or Minnesota, depending on how things work out here, and there, it's likely going to be several months before I'm wheels up and on my way out. I won't go into any more details about the locations as they still in the 'discussion' phase of things, and there's zero guarantee I'll get to go to either location. But, if all goes well, it'll become a moot point, as, hopefully, before this year is out I might actually make enough commission money to get out of Arkansas, and go someplace that looks at technology like the future.
Speaking of technology, on to the first bit...
Some of you already know I'm looking to build a new computer. The one I currently have is doing fine for commission work, but we're coming into an age when duel core processors are just not going to cut it any more, and as a result, it'll soon be time for me to upgrade to a new machine. And just to add a fuse to this, all of the hard drives, and the power supply in this computer are atleast a few years old. Meaning that at some unknown point, they may just crap out on me, and that'll be the end of my career as a Digital artist for a while.
Based on that notion, I decided that if I'm going to have to replace a number of parts in the computer, I might as well get a whole new one, and I'm not going to completely skimp out like I did last time. Sure, I'll be getting a budget computer, but it'll be one that's actually got a chance at having a long life. So, the all important question: just how much am I looking to spend on this new monster? According to NewEggs own wishlist... I'm looking at about $799.90 plus shipping charges. If you want to know the parts, I'll list them below (hopefully the links work...)
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ.....82E16811147060
Power Supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ.....82E16817139027
Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ.....82E16813138372
Processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ.....82E16819113285
CPU Fan: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ.....82E16835103099
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ.....82E16820104444
Hard Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ.....82E16822236404
DVD Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ.....82E16827135204
Graphics Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ.....82E16814487128
Network Adapter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ.....82E16833320074
I'm buying all of them on NewEgg, since, in the past I've gotten nothing but great deals from them, and I am hoping that that trend continues. As for the Operating System, I'll be using my current copy of Windows 7, and as soon as the upgrade becomes available, I'll upgrade to Windows 10.
So, the big question: Who here want's to help me put that computer on my desk? I will gladly accept parts as commission payment (of equal cost of course), but if anyone does buy that computer for me outright, I'll gladly do whatever artwork you want until the $800 debt is paid off. To put that in perspective, that's about 27 single-character shaded images (clean), 23 single-character mature images, or 20 single-character adult images according to my current prices.

Those looking to buy the parts, my address is:
3228 Military Road
Malvern AR, 72104
Now, I know some of you are asking "Why the computer first?"
The answer to that is simple really: When I move out, any funds coming in will be going right back out to pay bills. Meaning that if I'm serious about upgrading to a new machine, I have to do it before I leave. With any luck, I won't be forced out before all of the ducks can get in a row, but if any of you guys are the praying kind, tell the man upstairs I could use some help, maybe a stray lightning bolt on those that give me hell...
With that... thanks for being a great bunch of supporters.
Tank out.
