Let's develop Flufftooths!
Hi everyone n.n
As I said when I first made Elfrie, I plan on making the Flufftooth's a creation developed with community input!
Their very brief bio is:
A maned big cat hybrid native to forest and mountainous areas. Each Flufftooth has its own personality, but they all share a few common physical features: the mane forms a large fluffy ruff around the neck, and on the back forms tufty "wings" before trailing down their spine ending in long poofy tails. Their teeth are similar to that of a sabertooth tiger, and they have long lynx like ears, with males also sporting a small set of antlers. They are silent runners, and as such are adept hunters when needs be. Their fangs rotate from the side to the front when needed for hunting or feeling hurt, angry or upset. See this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16336699/
I personally want to see lots of large feline colours and patterns reflected in these guys, with as much of a natural feel as possible. I am not against using bright and bold colours with them, but I think less is more with them!
I was wondering if anyone would like to make suggestions on what they think their society could be like, their folklores, any special traits they have or what not. I want to try and make them unique in their own rights but without going into cliche tropes XD
What would YOU like to see the Flufftooth's be?

As hunters (in the forest) I feel as the females of the group would be better at hunting due to there sleek bodies and lighter touch. This, in theory would help them maneuver through dense trees. rather then the males who may have firmer paws and more of a strong feel to them. (all of this could change due to the prey they are trying to catch and of ones fursona :3 )
I personally also like the idea that they operate as very close large family units, raising all young communally. Yes *-*
1) They live longer. Like, substantially longer. Or at least have the capacity to. Be it lifestyle-related or some natural trait, if environment and living conditions allow, an average flufftooth can end up in the lower hundreds(200, maybe 300) before being considered old. Keyword being can, not will.
2) It's possible, if not exactly easy, to bring one up in a more contemporary or urban physical and social environment, or for an adult one to adapt into it. Industrialized societies' norms and expectations don't exactly come naturally to them given their origins in nature but the capacity to learn is there at least. Whether they're prone to being willing to stay there very long is an individual thing.
3) Holistic awareness and healthcare methodology does come fairly easily to them. That pretty much speaks for itself.
4) The colder their environment of origin, the fluffier they get. They also puff up in the winter. This is more just for fun than part of a plan, but I mean, come on. Fluff.
