(I know this journal is a bit old, but I still keep it updated from time to time! Last updated: 2020)
Since I've been getting quite a following lately, I figured it would be a good time to put my FAQ here. :'D This FAQ is pretty much the same one on my DA, but I edited/deleted some things to make it more FA oriented.
Why did you call yourself "Draggincat?"
It was supposed to be DragonCat, but since that username was already taken, I had to misspell the "dragon" part to "draggin". But I recently changed my username to "Seyumei" now (its based off of my Chinese name) but since I can't change my username here I'm stuck with Draggincat lol.
Are you a furry?
Not really, I don't have a fursona or anything. It just so happens that some of the things I draw tend to overlap with furry interests (like anthropomorphic fantasy characters) so that's where I get most of my furry followers. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
What gender are you?
Tbh, I prefer to sort of have this "amorphous/anonymous" persona and not have my gender known online, as I don't want my art to get bogged down by prejudgments based on who I am personally. I simply want my creations to be appreciated as it is. If you want to call me he/she/they, that's all completely fine with me! I have no preferences, just choose whatever you feel comfortable with!
Where's your LEWD? I know you're hiding it somewhere!

Do you do free art/requests?
I don't work for free, so absolutely not. However, I am open to art suggestions, but this usually has to be something that I'm personally invested in (like my OCs or Fanart). But even at that point theres maybe like a 10% chance I'll actually draw it lol.
What about art trades?
Sadly not anymore unless we're close enough that I can trust you. Had too many bad experiences with these unfortunately.
Collabs?
Same deal with art trades haha.
Commissions?
I've semi-retired from commissions, but all my info can be found here! https://seyumei.carrd.co/#commissions My current way of taking commissions is basically just shooting me a prompt, and if I'm interested enough in the idea, I'll take it haha.
What art programs do you use?
I use a combo of these programs:
Clip Studio Paint EX: Drawing, BG painting, 2D animation, text
Photoshop: Photo effects
After Effects: VFX for animation
Can I share/post your artwork somewhere else?
I strictly prohibit reposting my art on Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram only. But if it's a site that I don't have an account on (like Reddit, E621, ect), I'm totally fine with sharing it as long as proper credit and a link back is given to me. But if you're on a social media platform like Twitter, I go by @/seyumei on most places and you can probably find my art already posted there. Please share that post instead of creating your own!
If the artwork I made was specifically for you though, you're free to post it wherever you like!
Can I talk to you?
Yes of course! Don't be afraid to say hi to me. If you are nice to me I'll be nice to you. I'm not the most sociable person but I do enjoy other people's company. (: I'm also not really the person that likes to share personal RL stuff about myself cause I just find it kinda awkward (especially if we just met). But other than that I'm a pretty chill, easygoing person to talk to though. Nosrsly getting me legit mad is harder than climbing Mount Everest.
Can I be your friend?
If you say this straight up to me, probably not! Friendship develops as an unconscious thing, not by asking someone, otherwise it feels artificial and forced. Just try talking to me for a while and if I think we'll click, then maybe something will happen! (You get bonus points if you show any interest in my characters whatsoever. ;))
Can I draw your characters?
YES. ABSOLUTELY. I'm always super happy to get art from anyone! I'm very open with my characters so you're free to choose and do whatever you'd like with them, but if you have something more suggestive in mind or an idea I might feel iffy about, please talk to me about it first! Can you teach me how to draw?
I can't really "teach" you how to draw through the internet. Plus I'm a really, really bad teacher if I'm being honest lol. I do have tutorials: http://draggincat.deviantart.com/ga.....7410/Tutorials you can check out though. My best advice is to keep practicing yourself and draw from life. Thats how I did it!

How long have you've been drawing?
Pretty much all my life. But I didn't get serious about it till high school.
How long does it take you to draw a picture?
It depends how complicated the picture is, but usually 3 days to a week for standard rendered illustrations. Cell shaded portraits may only take 1-2 days. Animations may take up to two weeks.
What are your favorite animals?
Dinos, rodents, cats and dogs. I like a lot of animals! But those are my favs in particular xD I also have a newfound love for goats due to a certain fav character of mine haha. 🐐

In all seriousness though, I'd love to watch a livestream from you sometime. Would be real interesting to see how you color and detail things!
Aw im glad to hear you're interested! I've only livestreamed for one person so far, it wasnt so bad! It actually helped me get the com done faster haha xD So I'll probably be more open to doing them in the future ^^
