My stay at a clinic, and related commissions !
Alright, it's big announcement time !
I'll be staying at a weight loss clinic for 3 weeks, starting on May 4th. During that time, access to internet will be spotty at best.
Why the stay ?
As those who follow my exciting* life may already know, I've been overweight for about 15 years now, and it's not getting any better. I was a stress eater back then, and bad eating habits were acquired. While the related psychological problems have been solved since, the bad eating habits are still set in and I've been unable to break them. Today, I'm suffering small health problems because of my weight (like not breathing properly while I sleep), and I'm smart enough to know that unless I do something, they'll turn into BIG health problems at some point.
So I decided that shock treatment was my best bet : stay at that clinic where food intake is controlled and exercising is mandatory. No more "just this one time" snack BS - I'll be physically unable to give in to the bad habits. Hopefully 3 weeks of that diet will be enough to break out of said bad habits for good and start again from a clean (and healthy) slate.
*not actually that exciting
How it will affect my schedule
While I'll be able to bring my laptop to the clinic, I'll have no internet access while I'm in there. So basically it will be radio silence for at least 2 weeks, maybe the whole 3. So don't be alarmed when I drop off the map :p
The monthly Request Stream will be scheduled on May 24th, after I'm out.
What was that about commissions ?
Since I'll have a bit of free time in the evenings (and still have rent to pay ^^') to work on art, I'm reopening 10 commission slots ! I'll work on them during those 3 weeks and post them after I'm back. Feel free to send me an email before May 3rd to grab one !

Unless the clinic is in the dead zone or deliberately jams phones.
heres hoping its a fairly relaxing experience, but so long as you come out in better shape its grand
Here are some very, VERY important things that you need to remember from now on for every day of your life.
The average human adult needs at least 10,000 steps a day (2 hours of walking) to maintain good health.
A sedentary lifestyle weakens your lung capacity, weakens your leg muscles, and increases your blood pressure which, in turn, increases the risk of heart attack and, possibly, liver and kidney failure.
I've hardcoded walking into my daily routine for two reasons.
1. I enjoy walking and all the activites it provides such as sightseeing and interacting with animals.
2. I'm afraid for my life ever since I saw my blood pressure reading which was at a prehypertension level.
