Doug Winger update

I just got back from the hospital to see Doug and it does not look good. I will not violate his privacy but I can tell you that he is in bad shape and the staff are trying to locate his family. Of course they will not find anyone, because at his point Steve and Bob are all the family Doug has. He is in critical care but he is stable so we are going back later on.
Doug is one the smartest and nicest people I have ever met. His sense of humor and his low chuckle and his witty insights are not available on the internet but he is
justdoug here and he used my art for his user icon.
I will be letting everyone know if things change.

Doug was one of the first furry artists I saw.

That is the sort of art he did. The names on the xmas stockings are his roommates (Ralph has since moved out)
He is a very wise and gently man and he tells the best jokes in person. Hilarious in his storytelling too. Can fix any computer problem and is the best driver I know.
I looked at his page on FA and watched him so I could go back and rummage through his gallery too. Too bad I never met him. He sounds like one hell of a guy. When he gets better maybe I can at least meet him online. I am, as you see, keeping a positive attitude.
Never met the guy though. Don't know what he's like, don't know what all he's done besides porn. I hold no ill will though. No desire to see him dead, especially not painfully. Hope his loved ones will get a chance to say goodbye.
But in a field where good-natured creative folks and overly competitive/not very nice creators co-exist...the nice ones should earn and receive a lot of respect especially in a time of serious circumstances like this.
He's just too cool to have this happen to him. For sure give him my best and let him know my prayers are with him.

Might also be a nice tribute to see / post gallery locations while we are hoping that he will recover to add to them in the future.
BTW the ADULT Conspiracy warning is VERY appropriate. Be thee an adult or be thee gone.
Hopefully he will be up and chasing the nurses after getting some proper care. Of course with his characters doing the nursing, he might be the one doing the running.
Continuing to wish him the best and glad he has friends who can help and sounds like at least a sister (family) to care for him too.
Melissa Winger (Douger's sister) reached out to me trying to find information about Doug. Can you PM me the hospital info so we can try to help put Doug's sister in touch with her brother?
I... I hope he'll be ok and... I guess add my voice to the collective of fans who are keeping him in their thoughts.
