The Delta Project - Crowdfunding Comic
If you want to see my commission schedule for June 14-20, 2015 - click here: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6805253/
So I've finally decided to try to start up The Delta Project. This "project" is intended to be an anthology of stories, in comic format, all of them with the theme of shapeshifting. Instead of just the usual TF comic of "Some guy changes slowly and we never find out what happens", these are intended to be stories with character development, villains, struggles, and conclusions. The Delta Project will be crowd funded, as there is no way I can afford to just make the comics without assistance.
The main idea behind The Delta Project is that anyone can submit a story (within the rules, which I've yet to make). If your story is selected, ideally, you won't have to pay a dime to get it finished - that's where the crowd comes in. So essentially, the writer is commissioning me to make their story into comic format (With writing credit given to them of course), and the crowd will pay for it. Please note that the story submitters will not be given any money in return for this. I was honestly afraid this would be a problem, but everyone I've talked to about the idea seems to think it'll work out. They get a nice comic for free and I can pay the bills. The Delta Project will also be free for the public to view - it just won't update unless it's fully funded.
So, I have the first comic in mind. What I need is the time to make it. So I've decided to go ahead and put it on Patreon. Right now I've got the goal set to monthly. Please note this might change! I might set it up so that it is funded per page, or per week. I'm not sure what will work best, so please excuse me as I work through growing pains for this project.
Also, I'm afraid, I don't have any way to give out rewards now. If I do set up rewards, I will look back at how much people have donated over time, and reward accordingly. So right now, the only real reward is helping me get this off the ground. One thing I'm thinking about doing is for every dollar someone donates, they get a 'vote' for things that might happen in some of the stories (Such as my own stories if I leave plot points up to the patrons).
In order for this to work, I have to take fewer commissions. Commissions right now pay most of my bills. This is the problem I'm facing. If I take the time away to do this project, I'm making less commissions and then the bills aren't getting paid.
So that's where the crowdfunding steps in for now. For any pledges made between now and August 1st, it's just to give me the time to write and draw the first issue and set up the site. I hope to start posting the actual comic on the first week of August.
-Please do not submit stories yet. I want to make sure that this crowdfunding thing will work before I open the floodgates to stories-.

I will also take paypal donations for people that want to make a one-time donation to the project's start. Please contact me if you need my paypal information.
Please feel free to post your thoughts as well. And thank you to anyone willing to donate to the project.

Is there a reason the only pledge option I see is $1/month? I thought there'd be more tiers.

OP
As I mentioned above, I don't have any time to offer any rewards right now, so I didn't think it would be a good idea to offer any other tiers. People can still donate what they feel it is worth, though.
