Payment Options:
I only accept payment through Paypal, and only in $US Dollars. Payment is expected to be done in full before I start work.
I may or may not be open to holding slots, you must ask and talk with me about it first. I’m nice, but I usually won’t wait more than 2-3 days for payment. If I don’t hear from you by then, I will cancel the invoice and open the slot up again, sometimes without notification.
Content Restrictions:
I will not draw these topics. I have full rights to decline anything I do not feel comfortable with.
-Copyrighted characters (Pokemon, MLP, Disney characters, ect)
-Baby Furs/Diaper Furs (Can be exceptions… Normal toddlers or children might be okay, anything I consider a “baby fur” though will not be done. That is up to me to decide.)
-Along with the previous one, underage porn
-Incest. I’m not super comfortable with it (With the exception of one or two pairings I’ve fallen in love with), therefore, I won’t do it.
-Any form of Vore
-Unnatural body types (Hyper/Micro/Macro/Overly fat [Chub is fine, I can add a small belly or thicker arms, but obesity and such is not… I simply cannot draw it]/ect… Like Baby Furs, it’s up to my discretion.)
-Rape or sexual assault
-Transformation
-Watersports and Scat
-Any type of firearms, machinery, armor, robots, ect – I just… Can’t draw them yet. .-.
--NSFW, unless it's a Reference Sheet. Suggestive is fine, but I cannot draw anything involving sex. (UNLESS it's through a YCH... I'm trying to learn, expand, so I'll prolly have NSFW YCHs. Then it's obviously an exception haha).
-Styles of other artists. Do not ask me to draw “like so-and-so does”, or try to recreate a specific cartoon character’s style. I will not do it.
-Hate toward others
-Vehicles (I simply can’t draw them well)
-Inflation
-Tentacles
-Pregnancy as a fetish (If there’s something sexual going on with a pregnant character, I won’t do it. If it’s simply a picture of a partner doting over his/her pregnant lover’s belly, I will do it. This is to my discretion)
Process:
Once I get the payment – in full – I will begin with a sketch. I will keep in touch with you through whatever site you contacted me through, unless you would prefer something different and I am able to do so. At this stage, I will accept minor alterations, free of charge. However, if I’m asked to change things more than three times, and it’s not because of a mistake I’ve made (I drew someone’s hair a bit off and it doesn’t look like them, anatomy is a little off [I’m new to this, so anatomy won’t be perfect, just know that], ect), then I will begin to charge for the alterations. Any alteration requiring a complete redraw, or major overhaul to the design or base price, will incur a fee (Which I will determine based on the conditions given). Once the sketch has been approved, I will go ahead and start the lineart. You may or may not get to see it before I color. After linearting, the commission will be colored, and then shaded (if purchased as such), before it is sent to you. I am willing to do minor alterations, three as with the sketches, before I will start to charge, or I will simply deny to make any changes. Obvious exceptions are if I mess up markings and such, those will be fixed if necessary. (If it looks like it needs to be fixed, if I missed something, or something is completely off. I may deny the changes if I deem them unnecessary.)
Rights:
While the commissioner, owns the rights to their own personal characters, I retain all of the rights in regards to any artwork I create. The commissioner may crop an image to use as an icon, wallpaper, or resize it for display purposes, the commissioner may not make any edits or changes to the art itself. The commissioner may post a display-sized image (No more than 1200 pixels at it’s largest dimension) online for display in his or her own personal galleries, however, credit must be given to me, as I created the image. This includes icons, too – you must state on your profile or in your comment signature that I created the icon. The commissioner may in no way reproduce or make any money off of the artwork I create.
I own the rights to sell prints of the artwork if I deem necessary (Though I rarely do so), post it in any art books I might make (probably never going to happen), and post them on any sites I happen to be on. Credits will always be given for characters no matter where they’re posted. Basically, I own the rights to do whatever I want with the artwork. Keep that in mind when commissioning me.
If the commissioner is to upload art, not only must there be credit to me, but the watermark MUST be shown. Do not do anything to get rid of the watermark. If the commissioner get an unwatermarked image (See below for unwatermarked), he or she can ONLY upload the watermarked image. The unwatermarked one is for the commissioner’s eyes only.
My work may not be given to another artist to work with. Do not commission me for a sketch, and then go to another artist to have them finish it up into a full piece.
On top of going to another artist, the commissioner may NOT do anything to the art, such as coloring linearts and the like, unless I have given him or her expressed permission, which is rare.
Commercial Usage:
If the commissioner intends to use my art for any sort of commercial use, this must be discussed with me before anything is done. If I give permission for said usage, I want royalties for any sales made with my art, and credit must always be given back to me as the artist. The commissioner does not have any use to use any commissioned artwork without prior written permission from me.
Discounts:
Discounts are given as I see fit. Do not ask for them, as I will not give them out just because you want one.
They may or may not be combined with sales I have going on, it is up to me to decide. (If the sale and the discount together would lose me a good chunk of the commission, I probably will not allow the previous discount.)
Refunds:
The commissioner may request a refund under these conditions:
-No work has been started yet (Full refund)
-An approval sketch has already been provided (Partial refund)
-If I feel I cannot do the piece, I will give a refund, though this is by my discretion. (Full refund)
After the approval sketch has been approved, no more refunds will be given. I take the right to cancel and (Partially, depending on any progress made) refund any commission, if the commissioner is rude and/or uncooperative.
Any sketches that are given refunds for, will be used as a YCH, so I do not waste the time spent on it.
Friendship bracelets/keychains/ect work a bit differently.
-If no work has been done, you can get a full refund.
-Partial refunds are to my discretion. Once strings are cut, you are no longer eligible for a full refund. The amount that you may or may not get back is, as I just said, up to me. You may get back whatever I charged for time spent, and I will most likely send back shipping if nothing else, but I will keep whatever I have now wasted in floss. That I cannot get back, and I will then have to finish the bracelet to try and not waste anything.
-Once the bracelet is finished and shipped, there will be no refunds. As soon as it leaves my hands it is no longer up to me. If something is to happen and it gets lost, I will be willing to work with you and do another for a discounted price (As long as you're not a troubled customer and have not been giving me issues the whole time), but I will not issue any refunds at that time.
Communication:
All communication will be done through whatever site I have been commissioned from, unless otherwise discussed between myself and the commissioner. While I generally work in order of receiving payment for the commission (So as to not make people wait too long, and risk forgetting about a piece that was commissioned way before something else I’m working on), I do require timely responses. Delayed responses can slow my progress down, as I’ll be stuck waiting on you to finish whatever you have commissioned me for. Communication should be friendly, professional, and respectful at all times. If you give me an attitude, do not expect me to be so kind in return.
How to Commission Me:
For the most part, I will only open for commissions through journals. Please check my journals or my profile to see if I am open, and if so, then ask me through the journal (or the artwork, if I link examples and ask for you to do so there). Sometimes, if I’m not too busy, I may take a commission through notes, if you would like to ask me about something in private, though do understand that I may turn you down. Any forms and such that are needed, will be posted in the journal or in the example’s description.
Interested in a commission with one of my characters? I may be open to that, depending on the situation. Pandora will usually not be available… She’s special to me and I do not like drawing her in any and all situations. Plus, that’s not like her. Any of my other characters, though, are usually open to being used. I will not charge extra for one of my characters, as I would for adding in a second character to a normal piece.
Other Information:
References:
I require reference sheets for any commission, with the obvious exception of a reference sheet itself. There are few exceptions to this rule, and if I do make an exception, there will be a fee for having to work from something written. There are plenty of free linearts online, it is not too hard to make the basic idea of your character on one of them.
Overly Complex Characters/Picky Customers:
If a character has too many markings or their appearance is too complex, or the commissioner is being too picky about things looking just right(I’m human, sometimes things will look a little off – even the best artists out there mess up sometimes), I will no longer accept the character and/or commissions from the person who owns them, or who was being picky. This is up to me to decide.
Unwatermarked Images:
These will only be sent if asked for. I am usually kind of wary of sending unwatermarked things, on anything other than maybe adopts, due to the major increase of thievery I’ve noticed lately. Most of the time, I will not send unwatermarked images. Even if it’s hidden, to not mess with the image itself, there will be a watermark somewhere, to link back to my page in case of theft so it can be dealt with accordingly.
Shipping Required:
Unless your item requires shipping, do not mark it as such in Paypal. I’m not completely sure if that happens through invoices, but I’ve had a couple invoices come back asking for shipping, so I’m assuming there’s an option somewhere. It’s kind of annoying and inconvenient, so please do not do it.
Rules for Being a “Good Commissioner”:
PLEASE do not ask me how far I am with your art. I will notify you if anything comes up that will delay me in my work, or they may just be posted in a journal to notify all of my watchers – please look there as often as possible if you do not watch/follow/ect me. You can check my To-Do List (link) to see what has been done, what progress is made, ect. If you see changes to the progress but you haven’t gotten an update (If it needs one – as stated above, I may or may not give lineart updates before coloring), then you may ask me in a note. Do not pester me, however.
If you happen to pester me constantly or keep doing so even after I’ve asked you to stop, then I have all rights to stop work on your commission and refund you (Depending on progress made – see refunds above) without warning, as well as never accept a commission from you again.
Deadlines:
If there is a specific time you want something done by (You want it as a gift for someone’s birthday/an anniversary piece/ect), you MUST let me know and I will require time in advance. There will be a rush-fee for pieces with a deadline that require me to make it a priority and therefore make other commissioners wait. If there is a decent chunk of time before hand (A month or more) then I will not charge a fee.
Adoptables:
I have rules specific to my adoptable characters. Go here to read my adoption rules: http://thevoidkitsune.deviantart.co.....ules-416063444
