RULES & TOSDesigning: General
1. Premade designs may be altered after purchase. Acceptable edits include: Hairstyle, colours, patterns, clothing, sex, body type and name.
(That being said, you CANNOT take a premade MYO and completely revamp it. Once it's made, it's made. You're allowed to make tweaks, but it must still resemble the original design.)
2. You do not have to follow Stardragon lore. It's just there for the people who enjoy it.
3. You DO have to follow the rarity charts and general rules. (example: Gem and eyecolour must match)
4. Recolours and edits made for the sake of having multiple characters or twins are NOT allowed. If you obtained recolours from me or another artist, choose one design to keep and then purge the other files.
Designing: Trait Rarity
In reference to the Info Sheets:
COMMON TRAITS 1. Seen in white and green, are available to anyone, and may be swapped out for other common traits of the same variety (Example: Switching out Standard Starshooter tailplates with Notched tailplates)
UNCOMMON TRAITS 2. Anything in yellow is an uncommon trait, and may be swapped out for other common or uncommon traits of the same variety.
RARE TRAITS 3. Traits coloured orange are considered rare, and may be replaced with another rare, uncommon, or common trait.
LEGENDARY TRAITS4. Pink is the colour for legendary traits. These traits may NOT be switched out with other legendary or rare traits, but can still be replaced with a common or uncommon trait.
5. Please show moderation when switching between common and uncommon traits. We don't want this to turn into a "Here's my character with a shark tail and here he is with a seahorse tail and THIS version of him has a frilled fins, while this one has a dorsal fin." Individuals found using this method to create multiple designs from the same base character, especially with the intent to sell, will be dealt with accordingly.
Reselling & Trading
1. Designs may NOT be sold for more than they were originally purchased for unless there is additional artwork to compensate. Do NOT auction off designs with the intent of adding more artwork at certain price breaks. My designs are not to be used to turn a profit.
2. MYO's may not be sold for more than their original purchase price unless there is additional artwork to compensate. If we feel people are abusing this system to make a profit, we will disallow resales of MYO's for more than the initial price.
3. If you are in possession of recoloured designs, you may NOT offer them for sale or trade. Choose one design to sell and then purge the other files.
4. While you do not have to credit us for the designs/species in every image, please do not claim Stardragons as your own. (We're ever grateful to those of you who do provide credit, however! <3)
5. Buying any of my designs, be it from me directly or as a resell from a previous buyer, means you agree to the TOS.
Violating the ToS
First time offense: Private message and warning.
Second time offense: Second warning. Message might not be private if the offending party appears to be intentionally disregarding rules.
Third offense: Blacklisted from purchasing designs from deletethestars and raptorslut
While we have no intention of making the list public, we urge you to carefully consider who you purchase designs for and from, and who you make trades with. Anyone found KNOWINGLY providing blacklisted individuals with designs for the sake of profit or personal gain will be permanently blacklisted as well. If you're worried you might be striking up a deal with a blocked user, please contact raptorslut or Cloneclone to verify. We're aware we can't really stop anyone from going "Hell yea, someone's going to pay me twice the amount for this adoptable I bought", but if we happen to find out, both parties in question will be blocked and put on the private blacklist.
IMPORTANTWatermarking
Please consider watermarking any designs you receive. There are people out there who won't think twice to collect unwatermarked designs and sell them on other websites. We would suggest adding your full URL and a watermark that states the image NOT to be reposted or redistributed. There's nothing stopping some jerk from making an account on, say, weasyl, using your username and selling your design without your knowledge. If there's money to be made, there are people who are more than willing to stoop to that level and exploit others to make quick cash.
Reselling Designs
We already touched on this a bit, but if you decide to resell a design, you need to sell it for the same amount you purchased it for unless you are providing additional artwork via completed commissions or artwork you personally contributed - colouring my free lineart does not count. NO BID LADDERS WITH PROMISES OF EXTRA ART. You either have the artwork when you put the design up for sale, or you don't. That's all there is to it. If you are unsure what you paid for the original design, please note cloneclone, as he has access to this information. Anyone found purposefully using designs to turn a profit will be blacklisted, no exceptions.
Recolours
We used to offer recolours back in the day, but lo and behold, people have been using this as a free pass to alter their recolours and sell them as separate designs. If you decide to part with a design, be it trade or sale, you ABSOLUTELY MUST dispose of the recolours and simply charge the price you paid. Example: A $15 design with two, $5 recolours resulted in a total price of $25 dollars, meaning you can sell your design for up to $25.
Buying/selling designs via 3rd party
Once a design is out of our hands, there is nothing we can do to prevent people from abusing my TOS and ripping others off. If you feel like someone might be taking advantage of you, feel free to note Raptorslut or Cloneclone and they will assist you. Please be aware, people who are selling designs "under the table" via note may be selling that same design to multiple people. It's best to buy designs directly from the original artist, or buy only from trustworthy people. We're doing our best to keep an eye on this sort of behavior, but, again, there's a limit to what we can actually do about it.
Bullying
If someone is trying to strong-arm, bribe, or guilt you into parting with a design, PLEASE let us know. We absolutely abhor this type of behavior and will not hesitate to message them privately regarding the matter.
STARDRAGONSCreation and distribution permissions
Stardragons are a closed species - you may NOT make your own unless it is through the MYO event.
Premade designs may be purchased from raptorslut or deletethestars when batches are uploaded.
Commercial use of Stardragons is prohibited. You may not make merchandise depicting your Stardragon with the intent to sell without written permission from raptorslut This includes but is not limited to: Prints, Posters, Keychains, Jewelry, Calendars, Apparel, Mugs, etc.
Stardragon Group:
We hold contests with prizes, post submitted artwork, and help our members trade, buy and sell designs. You do not need a Stardragon to join.

Like tall curly horns is generally considered a masculine dimorphism on an Eater, but that doesn't mean a born female Eater can't have them. We don't police the gender/sex deal.
