Raffle - Curse of the Snowy Armadillo [CLOSED]
10 years ago
(Raffle is closed... please see http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6867907/)
Hello watchers,
Thank you again for wonderful support. I’m shocked and flattered that I’ve broken the 100+ mark. I owe it all to you, so I want the chance to give back a little.
And, thus, I’m beginning this little experiment. I’m going to begin writing a pulp fiction serial - Curse of the Snowy Armadillo. It will be steampunk adventure stretching from Victorian London to the horrifying Plains of Yig; a rip-snorting story rife with action, danger, humor, treachery, and possibly snoo-snoo. Think Lovecraft meets Monty Python mixed together in pulpy goodness.
This is were you come in Watchers:
I’m offering up six ‘guest’ slots in the story - members of the Quill-Cuttlebottom Expedition. These are:
Sir/Lady <?> Umbrage - British biologist and professor from King’s College (said to be as stiff as the taxidermy they collects)
<?> von Zimmerkollege - German agronomist and map-maker (obviously the villain of the story…they’re ~German~ )
Sir/Lady <?> Cuttlebottom - British entrepreneur financing the expedition (and suffering from a highly unfortunate name).
<?> McGuffin - American animal-handler and expert with guns (known for their dark and shady past).
Sir/Lady <?> Laggard - Professor of Asian and Indian Studies at the Royal British Museum. (Brilliant, if incomprehensible)
Prince/Princess <?> Amaro - Italian Mountaineer and survivalist (not to mention sexiest person in the group)
Together, they will help Lady Quill find and document the elusive Snowy Armadillo of Tibet. You can see the lovely Lady Quill here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17007189/
So, how do you get in the story? Funny you should ask.
Please reply to this journal, following these instructions:
1) Provide a linked Character Reference. Picture preferred, but written info is a bonus;
2) Suggest which character you’d like to portray - include your reason if you like;
3) Please answer “Yes” that you provide the author full creative freedom to use your character - no complaining that YOUR Lady Cuttlebottom wouldn’t do such-n-such;
4) Please answer “Yes” that you accept the possibility your character will meet with an untimely demise by any or all of the following: being eaten, shot, stabbed, crushed, drowned, falling, impaled, snoo-snooed, immolated, by magical curse, etc… as well as transformed or driven permanently insane. Lovecraftian stories rarely end well for people ; and
5) (Optional) Briefly tell me why your became a watcher.
Most importantly, this opportunity is for ~current~ watchers. You guys got me here, so you get first dibs. If you want to give me a single boost, that’d be awesome but not necessary.
Guest characters will be chosen and announced one week from tonight (7/13/15). If you don’t win, don’t sweat it… anyone who offers up their character will more than likely get a walk-on role at some point during the serial - be it a donkey herder or gourd merchant. And, seriously, if you can't answer "yes" to 3 & 4, don't send your character... this is for fun... and it won't be fun if I get nasty-grams.
Good luck guys! I really hope this works If not, at least you’ll get one amusing short story… XD

Ok ok, serious biz:
1. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16924998/ Though anthro, would have claws as his fingers and toes and would be about... 6' 2", so big but not like "Oh god where is everything above your waist?"
2. Amaro, cause he sounds fun, but as a backup McGuffin would be cool cause 'Murica fuck yeah but I don't think my weird attitude would fit "dark and shady" XD
3. Yes
4. Yes but I'd rather live to snoo-snoo the sexy Lady Quill, though a heroic death is always a great way to be a badass~
5. Uhhhhhhhhhh you're really sweet, friendly, you have a beautiful sona, and Quill makes awesome snoo-snoo o3o
Okiedokie!
1. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16880921/ Though, the outfit is entirely subject to change, obviously. :3
2.Lady Cuttlebottom. Because I am both from the UK, not stiff or into taxidermy and my wild ideas could be considered entrepreneurial.. I guess! Also. That name <3
3. Yes!
4. Yep! I am not squeamish. But the idea of going lovecraft-insane is awesome :D
5. Because you seem really nice! And you've always been supportive of my stuff! You write cool stuff and you have a single horn which I am perplexed and fascinated by :3
2) Spot Request -
<?> McGuffin - American animal-handler and expert with guns (known for their dark and shady past).

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14320770/ - bad ass archer reference =3
yes i know i have a lot of references and forms but it all boils down to me having a human form and a werewolf form but also
my human form has a pissed off corrupted form as well, this all boils down to my MPS in case you were wondering =3
2) I would like to play lady Umbrage please because she is the classic Victorian British female character that I love and I... kinda
went to Kings college Cambridge for a time before I got kicked out for being disabled ¬.¬ also you could bend the fact that I have a
werewolf form to my character liking to experiment with genetic splicing and such =3 but i would have to say she has to wield either
a bow or a Winchester rifle because I love steam punk and i think the Winchester rifle is just THE steam punk rifle to have =3
3) Yes =3
4) Yes =3
5) I became a watcher because your character is really cute and because when we chatted previously you sounded like a really
kind and fun person to be with =3
If you get her, that'd definitely play into some of my plans
