Movie Meets? Polar Cave/Lost River Meet?
So I'm wondering if anyone in Maine would be interested in regular movie meets. To see such films as Fantastic Four, Man From U.N.C.L.E., The Good Dinosaur, etc.
Location would depend on where interested parties are located and able to drive to. Times would likely be on a weekend and depend on whether people are more interested in seeing films opening weekend or waiting a few days till the crowds die down.
I'd also like to return to either/both of the Polar Caves / Lost River Gorge in NH this year before summer ends and would like to see if anyone in ME/NH/MA would like to join. This would be on a weekend when the weather is dry. I don't know if suiting would be allowed, but as the purpose is crawling around tight rocks, I'd suggest ears and tails at most. Being fat would not be an obstacle. Last year I clocked in at 250 and was able to get through all the caves except Lemon Squeeze.

Thanks to the lack of decent East-West highways in our states, it would be about the same length for me.
And heck, you could always come up the night before and couch crash with a nice wolf and carpool the next day
Last year, my friend and I got a motel room in the area as a "base camp" to hit up all the places we wanted to hike/explore without having to drive back and forth to Maine each day
But yeah, I couldn't in good conscience recommend these to anyone with back problems.
But there's always minigolf...
*checks your profile* You weren't kidding when you said old, not if you were active in the newsgroup days. *gets nostalgic for ye goode olde dayse before irc, twitter and facebooke*
I then found alt.devilbunnies in my grad school days at Texas Tech and wandered that way for a while. It was a sanity saver at the time. I never understood why they were never truly accepted (or so it seemed to me) in the furry fandom. It had sentient killer bunny wabbits that carried a disease that could transform you ("Convert" in their terms) to one of them. (shrug) Anyway, as that group died-off as Usenet died about 13 or so years back, I lurked in the fandom for a long time before finally setting up an account here and then Weasyl (but not for the reason many others have--it was to follow artists there that aren't here).
I also have a dA for the same reason.
Unless I'm wearing fuzzy ears or tail, my photos from last year's Polar Cave visit wouldn't fit FA's theme.
