As we did for Memorial Day, there will be another furmeet at Roger Williams Park. It will take place on Monday, September 7 at 1 p.m. The address is 1000 Elmwood Ave, Providence. The meeting spot will be at the Carousel, NOT THE ZOO!
Tickets for the Carousel are $2. There is not much space inside the building, so it can get crowded very quickly. Once you get off the carousel, go right outside.
Fursuiting is encouraged for this event and they have been worn in the past. Be aware that this is an outdoors event in public and there will be no changing places or break areas except for your cars. Bring your own water bottles. If anyone has a problem with us wearing our suits, then we'll just take them off. I was approached by a park employee the last time, but it was more about concerns of us possibly soliciting people or handing out something rather than people running around dressed up in costumes.
Plans for what to do after the furmeet are up to the attendees. If you want to go out to eat together or hang out at someone's place, it's up to you to decide and it should be organized sooner rather than later.
P.S. A furmeet at any other state park will hopefully take place later this fall.
