Fennecolt Appearance and Magic

This journal is just a quick bit of info for those who wish to design a fennecolt or learn more about the way they look and how magic is used.
Appearance
When designing a Fennecolt it is important to know the anatomy that is unique to the species and should not be changed.
These details include:
.Huge Ears with 3 tufts to create the shape.
.Long horns on male fennecolts and short horns on females.
.Gems that are placed on the hips and shoulders of both genders.
.Males have 2 gems on their tail tips whereas females only have 1.
.Fennecolts have Equine Horse-like hooves NOT bovine (cow/deer like)
.Fennecolts are born without horns or magic (horns grow around age 5)
Coloration is really flexible and fennecolts can be any color or pattern you can think of. however, some factors are repeated through most designs:
.Two colored gradient Mane & Tail fluff
.Two colored gradient for the inner ears
.Horns and Hooves tend to match color
.Gems are the same color throughout body.
Clothing
There is no limitation on the clothing that fennecolts can wear! They are a diverse race and wear many unique styles found only on aura or on other planets such as earth!
Traditional Fennecolt clothing is a series of various styles of tribal outfits. The outfit colors and themes tend to vary depending on the region and tribe that the fennecolt is in.

Note: Fennecolts will usually wear their traditonal outfits during bindings and other ceremonys (see dictionary)
Magic
Fennecolts are born Without magical powers and develop them when they reach Puberty, Until then their gems are a "off-light bulb" gray color.
Fennecolts Gain a certain ability most commonly from 2 ways
1. Genetically (from parents or ancestors)
2. Environmentally (from the land they were born in or currently live in)
However!! Fennecolts cant go around endlessly casting magic as it makes them Incredibly tired! If a Fennecolt uses a lot of power It will sleep for longer than it would if it only used a small amount. In extreme cases a Fennecolt can Burn out turning their gems gray and making them pass out for long periods of time until their body recovers.
