39
I turn 39 tomorrow.
It is remarkable how the years go by and how much I can look back on and smile about (and how many things I still kick myself in the tail about). I suppose I'm getting to the age where I'm expected to worry that I have not done anything with my life, or do something crazy and try to recapture my childhood. I do want to spend some time in introspection to better understand myself, but I don't feel as if I should fret if my life hasn't always been used for the best thing possible. I do hope that I will have many more years yet to figure it out, but mostly so I can be a good father for my daughter and husband for my wife.
For now though, within reason, I open the comments here for any questions folks have about me. I will try to get back to folks as my schedule allows, but the time to ask questions cuts off after my birthday is over!

I forget if I've asked this before, but have you composed anything dedicated to Angie yet? Are you planning to write little pieces for her to play/sing when she gets old enough?
I have not written anything for Angie just yet. I honestly hadn't given it any thought since she's not shown any interest in letting me play the piano for her. If that changes, or if I get some inspiration, I'll certainly compose something.

Most people that get all working up about the 9s....29...39...and 49....are people that are not living life as they should.
If you wake up at 39 and think "damn I havent done X, Y, and B" then MAYBE you should get to it! No time like a present yaknow???
Me personally, each birthday is special to me, thanks to my health issues ,and my dangerous choices in work and hobbies I...never thought I would live as long as I did!
That being said, happy birthday! Have some good cheese and enjoy.
I am also glad you are still with us, tip! May that be so for many years to come.
I'm definitely enjoying some good cheese, thank you!

Lots of wonderful memories and experiences to look back on here. *hugs*

And now for a birthday question!
Who's your favorite Back Street Boy? The world must know. ok ok, if that question is really just too humility for you to answer then what historical war do you find the most interesting?
LOL! I couldn't even tell you one of the Backstreet Boys, or even any of their songs! But you know me enough to know I wouldn't.
The most interesting historical war... probably the First Crusade. Although the Turkish siege of Vienna in the early sixteenth century is pretty dang impressive too.

We all have these thoughts but you should be proud. You have a family that loves you, good work, a lot of friends, and a decent life. yes you can always have *more* but stop to count the blessings you do have. Never feel that you are not savoring life well, as long as you are loved and love others that seems to be one of the best parts of life to live for.

Question wise...If your happy with yourself, and those that care for you are happy with you too..there is no way for dissapoitment to be in that equation, right? ^^
Under those conditions, it would be pretty unreasonable indeed!

I think in this day and age we worry too much about what we should do and what we will do, but the reality is that all that matters is that we live our lives to our own satisfaction.
You know I've had my own crisis of faith wondering those very questions when I turned 30, and you helped me a lot with that. I look up to you and rely upon you for a lot of honest and well meaning counsel, to which I thank you.
You're a good father, a good friend, and a wonderful furry.
I suppose it's only appropriate that with luck I'll get to post something tomorrow that will in a small way be a gift of sorts. :)
I look forward to whatever it is you are going to share with us.

Though your character has not yet made an appearance, I encourage you to follow and comment on Exodus Rising, which will feature our dino characters in chapter 2. :) You're going to be my second in command. :)
I will definitely take my time with it to provide you my thoughts on it. I'm honored to be your second in command.

Thanks for converting me to dinoism. :)
*beak grins* You're welcome! Great to see another dinosaur embrace the ancient ways!

Oh yes. ;) My dinos will see some love now and then for sure. :)
Most excellent! (I hope to read and review your story chapter this weekend).

Be gentle, though I know you will be. :) I hope to prepare the second and third chapters in somewhat short order, though I'm juggling a lot of balls and I like to take a few days off between story projects to avoid burnout. :) I will have a new one to post this weekend.
I am very much looking forward to the next part!
