____________________________________________________________ Ok, I'm going to be honest. I REALLY hate when people open "emergency commissions".
I've been burned - more than once - with people lying about why they're opening (things that should NOT be joked about or taken lightly). They use fake tragedy to get people to give them money.
That being said, I'm going to be totally honest. I NEED money. I don't have any good reason other than I was stupid with my finances for a long time and I'm really trying hard to get them back in order (my goal is to own a house). I also am having a really hard time at work lately. I am so done with customer service. I am an extremely anti-social person with severe social anxiety that has worked in customer service positions for my entire working life (around 8 years now). I'm done. But the only way I'm going to be able to get out of it is to get either a certification or a degree, ie more money needs.
Most commission money I've earned previously has gone towards more art for myself since that was the only luxury I really wanted. That's going to stop. The money I've got from the Iron Artist Icons just barely saved me this last month. I've started more of a financial plan and I'm hoping things are going to improve quickly.
That being said, I need more commissions. I get so few, and normally I'm ok with that. I used to HATE taking commissions (why I always did so much free art), but I've actually come to enjoy it (for the most part).
I don't have as much time as I used to to work on them, but I generally have good turn around times lately.
SO!
Here is the point of this journal.
I'm asking for help. I'm asking for commissions, donations, signal boosts, ANYTHING that can help me get my life back on track really. I don't like asking for help. I really really don't, but it's just gotten to that point.
I can't say I can offer a ton in return (other than art obviously, and my undying gratitude)
