Alternate Payments and you.

No, I do not roleplay.
No, I do not want to use FA's notes system. Send me a damn email, because I'm old. Email address is xial.fa at lick.blue.

I see PayPal is back on the war trail, knocking more and more users out of their services and making it hard on people in differing countries to buy products and services from each other.
I'm going to put some time in today on working on a thing that
recommended I do -- compositing a list of alternate payment methods, but I'm also adding a toxicity rating for their terms of service if they have one.
I'm about done with the first one, Skrill, where its toxicity is downright brutal and actually makes PayPal look like a saint. An extract from section 9.2 on Skrill's AUP:
Customer hereby acknowledges and agrees that Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) per violation of the Acceptable Use Policy is presently a reasonable minimum estimate of Skrill’s actual damages considering all currently existing circumstances, including the relationship of the sum to the range of harm to Skrill that reasonably could be anticipated because, due to the nature of the violations of the Acceptable Use Policy, actual damages would be impractical or extremely difficult to calculate.
Emphasis mine.
I plan on also getting into Google Wallet, Square Cash, and a few of the digital currencies (Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin).
If you'd like to sponsor some of my work, I'd totally appreciate that!
Again, because I'm also one of those people who PayPal pissed on and off, I cannot accept PayPal as a tip option.
Here's what I can accept:
bitcoin » 1FAtDiCkfsSqhEAuMgcmt5Z37edRmVh9xr
dogecoin » DLG1xyr9MTphhonHdYQCbSFnDu85DK61Cp
litecoin » LTARTBx5y8DcUP7fHq4jfNhEmHZZZGTFz4
Need some of the above currencies, and you're in the USA or Canada with a bank account?
GoCelery will happily sell some to you, and that link offers a $10.00 credit toward your first purchase of $15.00 in coins (AND gets me a small credit, too).
More traditional methods include:
patreon » Vaunt Dark
square cash » $xial
dwolla » Xial
Alternately, if you're in the USA and are okay with Amazon, you can:
Try a free 30-day trial of of Audible and get two free audiobooks with this link.
Of if you're searching for a cellphone for a carrier that offers contracts, buy your next phone on Amazon.
Amazon Prime 30-day trials hide behind this link.
Each of those, unless FA is doing their fun little Viglink thing still or your browser has a hijacker installed, would provide me with a small bit of compensation as an Amazon Associate, for proper disclosure.
And for a more traditional approach, there's a few normal Amazon Wishlists I have:
Electronic things (high value)
TV and Movies, to go with the rekindling of my appreciation for televised media. (It's the closed captioning and 1.25 playback speed that helps.)
Thanks for stopping in! Please share this with others, and if there's a payment method that you'd like me to cover, please chime in and tell me here in the comments.
