UPDATE: 12/04/15
People are still trickling in, we're at 75 now and the influx of participants have certainly slowed down to nearly a halt. I do understand this event may have come a bit late on the Calendar so I'm going to cut it off at the end of TODAY so I can shuffle everything up and get things going earlier but no later than the 7th. I have to compose a LOT of emails so this will likely be my little weekend project. Thank you everyone who has joined the Secret Santa, and hope you are all hyped to make some awesome gifts for one another. Stay tuned and happy holidays!

Just checked it, 67 participants so far! Wow that's nearly double what it was by this time yesterday! Thank you to those who boosted the journal, even though I can't ask or make it a requirement according to the rules of FA, it's nice that people are still doing it of their free will. It's not that money is exchanged or any business is involved, just a whole lot of the community is coming together to do a gifts for one-another. I think there should be an exception to the rule for something like this. No word from the admins yet so I guess we're still safe :3
Also, if you get the confirmation page at the end of the form when you hit the button to submit it, it worked. I'm getting forms in just fine and I've had no issues. Google Docs is working beautifully so never hesitate to sign up if you can do it.

Dawn of the third day; There are 36 of you signed up! I know it'll likely grow a little more but I consider this already a success! 30 of you had chosen that it's ok to receive a gift of lesser skill level than your own. That shows me that you all are in it for the holiday cheer and the spirit of giving. I am humbled by you all. Keep up the incredible enthusiasm! Last Secret Santa I know of had a failure rate of 22%, I'm sure we can do better, I want to see everyone get their gifts this year! Some of you are doing incredible gifts too! If you for some reason need to drop out, let me know before the 7th so I can remove you from the list. After that you could be locked in. So let's hope for the best this year, and only you can make that happen!

People keep rolling in and that's great! A few of you are crafters and need a destination to mail your work for your recipients. I will make note of these and make sure postage stays within your country. If you have questions about anything ask! Also if info needs to change on your application, note me with thre changes, filling out a new form will not update the old one, it just makes a new entry. Only I can edit old forms so let me know.

Apparently Signal boosting journals is against the rules of FA. Removed from rules and not mandatory. Thank you all who did post a journal to get things going.

Probably should have people provide a link to your gallery too, huh? That's been added to the form. Those who already filled it out are ok and do not need to fill out another form, I just did it for you and added the links to your galleries to the sheets. Also added a rule of post a journal boost so this gets out. Also opened up to writing and writers but only writers will receive writing. It's all in the form.

A few years ago, HerrAardy did an incredible secret santa event, and I missed it last year. So I'm opening up to manage it for everyone this year!
Secret Santa is simple. You get a random recipient from the list of participants and you make a gift-art for them! All the while someone does the same for you! Now keep in mind that this is for amateur to highly skilled artists only and everyone is subject to a quality check. This is mostly to prevent free-art fiends.
When delivering the artwork, you can send it to your recipient via email, FA Post, FA Notes, or any other reliable messaging medium. I will not send anything out for you, I will also not collect any artwork. I just manage the to and from.
RULES:
• MUST BE AN ARTIST of some acceptable skill level. Though I'm rather flexible on this. Writers are also welcome, just specify that on the form.
• DON'T TELL YOUR RECIPIENT! That spoils the surprise and that's most of the fun!
• RESPECT CHARACTERS! Don't be a Grinch. Keep to the wishes of others and be kind with characters. Unless specified otherwise.
• DEADLINE! Have your art in some presentable form by the 25th of December, and must be delivered no later than the 31st. When you are done, say that you're done on this journal so I can keep track of everything. There is no need to show me the art, I will trust you have it done.
• FAILURE to post about completing your artwork, or failing to complete the artwork will put you on the naughty list, which is the list of those who did not complete the secret santa. Shame. Shame. Shame. Dingaling.

I cannot draw, but am curious about a story being acceptable
ok, I'll see what I can do:)
But the reason I may not be able to is because I work at an Amazon.com warehouse and they work me 5-6 days a week for half a day, makes it really hard to finish even the commissions I owe.
Wouldn't mind learning a little more bout this though.
Even if you can get a sketch done for the person, it helps and it's greatly appreciated. I didn't think I could do it once, and I kinda surprised myself. Just start early :)
Not sure who to draw for but I would like to try and participate.
I don't draw often but it was pretty fun, surprising that I've retained some of the things I self taught myself a couple years ago without ample practice throught the years. Thanks for holding the Secret Santa, it was my pleasure to participate.
