A couple of things I love are visiting new places and visiting furs while traveling. I've had some truly amazing times visiting friends and making new ones in such a way. And just before the end of the year I'll be driving through a part of the country I've never visited before -- starting in Portland, ME I'll be making my way more or less along the eastern seaboard to Chesapeake, VA with about 4 days to make the trip. Since I have no idea where a lot of my acquaintances in the fandom live, I wanted to see if anyone in the area wants to meetup while I'm on the road. I don't know an exact route or where exactly I'll stop each night, but the main purpose is just to see a new part of the country. I'm also pretty heavily into geocaching, so recommendations for good spots are welcome :D
