No one is ever going to completely agree on anything! I'm sure you're not alone in that response either

I wouldn't say I was disappointing but....it seemed more like a reboot than a beginning to a new trilogy. It was HIGHLY predictable, it felt like it followed the same outline for Episode 4. And for them to drop 2 "big" plot points bombshells didn't make much sense to me. They could have left a few things out until the later movies imo. I think a few parts were rushed as well, think Disney was pushing J.J. to finish the movie. He's got a lot on his plate, he directed Ep. 7, he's producing Star Trek 3, and probably has his hands in a tv show or two as well.

After reading a few articles it seems the lore or even the ancestry of the two families, the Skywalkers and Solos have been wiped clean after Ep.6. Disney or someone else decided that the last 10-20 years of content and info is no longer canon. So instead of going with that big story line they decided to make their own, guess they didn't want to pay the people who wrote that stuff... typical.

Won't say what was changed, but I'm still disappointed. Seems like they took the easy way out to cut back on actors even though they added in a few new ones just to kill them off in this movie.

OUR THEATRE CLAPPED TOO! In the beginning when 'lucasfilms' came up, then afterwards when the screen went to credits. Some people started turning on their lightsabers and waving them around haha

there were guys with lightsabers here too!
it was amazing.
When any character of the old trilogy came into the screen the WHOLE theather clapped, even the younger ones.
It was moving.

And when THAT scene came, the whole theather fell silent. It was surreal. An amazing experience, i am so lad to have been ther to witness it!

I'm more excited for Rogue One, but that's just me. I think I'm sort of burned on the whole affair by guessing all of the major plot points months ago, figuring out Kylo Ren's "clever" name about ten minutes after I first heard it, and then the whole "EU canon doesn't exist anymore, only the movies and CGI TV series" nonsense. Not saying I won't enjoy it, but it's not going to be as big a thing for me as it maybe should be. It's sad when you get jaded and enured to something you love D:

That was one hell of a movie. A+++ would watch again.

I'm so glad you got to see it!!! As soon as the logo came up my eyes were the biggest starry eyes ever. First thing i thought of was YOU.
It had ALL THE FEELS of all the Stars Wars movies and i teared up almost every other scene. .OwO.

It was great. There were a few problems with it, but it was much better thematically than the prequels were.

I really love what they're doing with Kylo Ren, and feel like they're building towards something amazing with him. We'll have to see what direction things get pushed in the next Episode.
