Everybody has days like this. Maybe you should do something different and unexpected from your usual routine! ^3^

I felt like this for the past weeks. I think it'd be better if I just stop drawing completely because I'm just not getting better while others are.

Have tasks to accomplish
it's a good way to feel motivated, drowning in a sea of things you have to do.

I only have one thing to do atm. A commission. Nothing else. No other plans. I am working on it as I write this.

No commissions to be done, right?

I am working on a commission as we speak. But I just don't know why would anybody WANT TO commission me anyway. I'm trash. I'm not worth commissioning. I bet people do it out of pity only

Says you. You are one of the best artists I know of for scenery and lighting, and you have a ridiculously close to anime style when you choose to do so. I've commissioned you a few times and I was more satisfied with the commission than Ive ever been with any other artist. Never doubt yourself, especially when you've got so many people that love you and what you do.

I'm not satisfied with myself however. And yet I can't get better. I try. I flow with it, I force it. Whatever I do, I think I hit a wall I can't jump over, dig under, walk around or break.

hay now. I adore your art, and not from pity. trying to get better is one thing, but art should be about expressing one's self, so show what you feel and what you like. people here love your art, and that alone says tons. we all hit a burnout, but bashing yourself is not the way. instead of seeing and pointing out what you did wrong, focus on the good points and how everyone feels about it. I get a sense of joy when I try and help someone, I can not do much, I can't draw, and I can't motivate myself to write anything. but I can give support, I can show kindness, and I am willing to suffer so someone else can feel better. no one is perfect, and trying to be perfect will crush who you are. your not as bad as you think you are, and no matter how bad you think you are, you are still a great artist with your own style and charms. just be you, 100% you, and just do your best and be proud that you put 100% of your heart into your artwork.

"Being me" isn't enough. It's not quality. It's just a subpar faking of it.

simple, because your not trash, far from it exactly. tell me why you make art? what made you want to draw?

I started drawing because I alienated myself and drawing was the only thing that soothed my crushing loneliness.

I am also one crushed by loneiness. but I am willing to fix that, and I am willing to help you

Don't try.

why not, I am willing to help. and even if you refuse, I'll still try. all I ask is that you give me a chance. I simply can not just stand by and watch you fall if I can be there to catch you. I have enjoyed your art, all of it, so think what you will of me, but I will without question be here and there to help in any and everyway I can, even if it costs me.

Self evalutation on these matters is most often wrong, either in giving oneself too little credit and not acknowledging one's skills because you know already the tricks you use and it loses all its "magic", or because it's kept in too high consideration. If a good number of people tell you that what you do isn't bad, perhaps there's a chance it really isn't, and that your work is liked and appreciated.

If I had the time. I usually just go to sleep when I get home from work and only draw during the weekends.
I won't be drawing at all next 2 weeks since I'm going to visit my brother in England for new year's (going after x-mas)
