David and Alan were both so important to me, to everyone. I think personally Alan had a bigger impact on my life though... Growing up with the Harry Potter books and movies, seeing that in perceived evil, even the greatest and most noble of character's can shine through. I guess you could say it's the books that had an effect on me, But I don't think the role of Snape could have been portrayed by any other man and had the same effect... He was truly a great, great man...

This week certainly has been a bad one to be an awesome British guy. It really is a shame to see him go, though... he as an amazing acting talent who very nearly never was, and our lives are all richer for him having shared himself with us.

Alan Rickman was definitely my fav actor! Oddly. I shared the same birthdate as him. February the 21st. Not the same year though.

I shall always Alan Rickman and his roles in Die Hard, Harry Potter and Robin Hood. He had such a great charisma and even Daniel who played Harry Potter said how awesome he was that he treated him like a peer and not a kid like most adults he worked with. May his soul find rest, he will be sorely missed ;_;

Yeah, tis a sad year indeed. I first saw Alan Rickman in Die Hard when I was a kid, but to most of the generation, I think, he is forever immortalized as Severus Snape.
