Probably just a troll, as DA is full of those sorts of people. Quite funny to watch sometimes, I've seen people make "dog with a volcano on its back" and then someone makes slightly different version and they get into an argument over it, throwing insults at each other and calling copyright infringement on one another. But, it never goes anywhere. You can't copyright the concept itself, only an execution of a concept. Someone makes a slightly different volcano dog thing? Perfectly fine. Same with food and stuff. I work at Walmart, we have our own "generic" versions of things like Oreos, Mtn. Dew, and Doritos. Yet, because they aren't called that and are slightly different, they can't sue Walmart for anything (heck, some products we sell are made by the same companies that make the real thing. SHH!).

As for you "not creating" Red, really? Wolves aren't really a thing you can copyright, they exist in nature. I guess SOMEONE made them, but that doesn't matter. You made a taur version, which, sure, other people may have done as well. But, the taur thing is based on centaurs from mythology, which again, not really easy to claim copyright on.

The weapon, on the other hand, I agree with  snivs-the-snivy . if it's really something copyrighted, like from a video game, you only have to change one thing about it. And even then, it probably falls under fair use/fan art, since you aren't selling replicas of the weapon, making money on your art/character, or anything like that. Similar to me having Rob be a Camerupt. I did it because I like the Pokemon series, and Camerupt is my favorite Pokemon, even after all these years. I don't try to sell art of him, or anything like that. It's out of appreciation, not for trying to "steal" the idea. Same with his markings and all, done because I watched certain railroads' trains go by as a kid, and it helped make Rob more unique, instead of him being a generic boring Camerupt.

Basically, keep doing what you're doing, don't let anyone tell you you're stealing or breaking the law. If you were, I highly doubt the copyright holder would message you on DA or FA and say something like "OMG YU STOL MY CHARACTURR/WEPON! COPYRIGHT INFRINGMENT! I'M TELLING!" There's a process for that sort of thing.

I agree with you guys but if the artist is doing this he did not create the wepon red did the artist just brought it to life so he really does not have copyright over it

I can see what you mean, it's part of the reason I prefer drawing Rob, as then people don't have permission to draw him and twist it their way, letting them say that Rob is part theirs because they drew him once or something dumb like that , which might have happened here.

That, along with all the little things that make him hard to draw for people unfamiliar with the matter. Only time anyone else has drawn Rob was when I posted a ref sheet and they drew him basically the same way, and when I was there to tell them how to draw certain areas. Anyway, off topic. I'll stop.

Someone can't sue you over a weapon.

Either there is something else going on here that you are not telling us about, or someone is bullying you by saying they will sue (which they CANNOT do) and they are winning because you are leaving which is prolly what they want you to do.
