First Revision of Pay Model Draft
-removed Tier 1 and tier 1.3 because it's redundant. Turned one of the tiers into a stress factor.
-added more clarity to the tiers
- How complexity tiers work -
All full color images start at $30. If certain parameters are met, say additional characters, complex clothing, complex anatomy, etc, I will add a "modifier" to the price. For example, a group of six ordinary characters will have no additional tier modifier. It'll be an ordinary $30 one.
If it were 10 characters, I would add 4 separate modifiers of %15. Which would be $4.50. That would be added up to $18. the final price would be $48
Complexity Tiers -
what does NOT factor into complexity:
-Color theory
-Multicolored characters
-Backgrounds
-Ideas that I sell you will be exempt from the price model, as I'm the one who came up with them and sold the idea to you.
-Images I make of my own accord (read: not comissioned) that you choose to support, if asked if you would like to support it.
Tier 1 - More Characters "We brought friends" - Any more than six characters in one image warrants an increase in price. %15 per additional character.
Tier 2* - Complicated/undesirable "Just shoot me in the fucking head" - characters with absurd bodies, i.e Atronachs, Geiger Aliens, steampunk robots without chassis, etc. If everything I know about anatomy or proportions go out the window then I just struggle with it. Such complexity would require a %50 increase.
Tier 3* - "Why do you hate me so much?" More than three characters in one image with the complexity of the ones mentioned in tier 3. %70 increase.
Tier 4* - "When did we move to the eye of terror?" More than 5 characters in one image with the complexity of the ones mentioned in tier 3. Double price.
Note: If it turns out that the characters in the last three tiers are easier than expected, I might just downgrade the tier as if they were normal characters.
*- does not stack with other tiers.
--Stress factors--
How stress factors work
Normally I don't get all frazzled and frustrated when I do comissions. I'm usually quite hydrated, have snacks on hand, and am watching a DVD or netflix. But every once in a blue moon, when all the planets align, I get that one that just isn't fun, drives me up the wall, and is just pure agony. At the time of writing, I can only think of maybe one, possibly two or three pieces that fall into this category, so I expect these to be very rare.
Stress factors are applied AFTER the product is finished.
Factor 1 - Arduous "From Hell's Heart I Stab at Thee"
If I go all Moby Dick on a project and spend MORE THAN 4 DAYS on it, I will tack on an extra %25 per day. I would like to note though that I pride myself on my ability to finish in three days time. So the chances of anyone reaching this facotr are extraordinarily slim.
-To warrant a Factor 1, each day must be spent working a full 9 hours. Days off, foul moods, unexpected company, and/or other acts of god do not count toward this.
-For example: If I spend a week working on one image that just refuses to finish, assuming the project is, indeed, that agonizing, and I have spent 9 hours each of those extra days slaving away on it, I will charge %75. This is an absurd example and will hopefully never happen.
-If, however, I'm being kept away by unexpected company, foul moods, or the dead rising, there will be no additional charge.
Factor 2 - Uncooperative - "So that's how it's gonna be?" Repeated hiccups in the commission process. These are more common than Factor 1, but don't always happen. A characters anatomy that I repeatedly fub by accident. A last minute change that comes out of nowhere. Colors that don't want to be right. They don't happen all the time, but when they do they take a toll on my psyche
.
Each instance of this warrants a %1 increase, and accumulates. This can accumulate as high as %25
