-+Comic Commissions+- Terms&Process

Please read everything bellow.
There are certain things you should know when commissioning me a comic. So please read everything below if you are planning to commission them. Also keep in mind in reading the Terms of Service if you are not familiar with what I can and can’t draw.
If you want to check if I am open for them please check my profile underneath Commissions it should say Comic Comissions. I make sure to update that regularly.
Looking into the Commission Info tab will give you a general idea of how much a page costs.
Important things needed:
1) Visual references of the characters being drawn in the comic. I won’t take text only descriptions or be creating character(s).
---If using other people’s oc’s I will need to see if they had given permission for them to be used. They especially have to have the oc of theirs in question in their gallery. Need proof.
---Same with your own oc’s. Need proof they are yours. Mostly asking this because having oc’s in dropbox like that is very weird. Specially with not giving the source of who drew it.
2) A script of what is happening in the comic. This can be text heavy but not too text heavy like it has come out of a fanfiction or a book.
---I can accept paragraphs of what happens within each page. But please they have to be small paragraphs.
How comics are done:
1) Send in the visual references and the script of the comic. I will review them and tell you if I can take it on or not. Will add a new form for Comic Specific Commissions.
2) I would also like to know the page limits you are willing to do. Page limit is 30 and under.
3) I can only give an estimate of the whole comic. REMEMBER THIS. I still need to sketch all the pages out to properly price them.
4) When everything is set and you are committed to this I will need a down payment of $20 to get started.
5) Once payment is given I will get started on working on the thumbnails of the first two pages. ( If there’s more than 1 page)
6) IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER. I am drawing the thumbnails of the pages and what happens in them. They are less detailed and are more for character(s)/ panel placements. Only when things are accepted I put in more details.
---Example of how thumbnails look example=> http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19271436/
7) If you like how it is going and want to continue on in funding the comic I will get on to making more pages. The down payment given above will be subtracted in the first page’s payment.
If Backing out during the comic work:
---If you want to back out on the comic let me know and I will refund the money but you cannot use the pages that were sketched out and shown to you. You lose the ability to use them at all for anything. [This is if not too far into the comic, 2-5 pages]
---Anything beyond 5 pages will need to be appropriately paid for the amount of time and work done but can be given the unfinished pages.
---If you wish to back out but want to keep the pages + full size of the images you will need to pay the appropriate amount of the work that has been done and shown already.
---If you wish to back out in that you cannot continue the comic but still wish to continue much later on let me know. Will still need to pay an appropriate amount of all the current work done but will be saved for the future. Will also keep tabs of the amount paid to subtract from the future payments.
8) I will only start inking/coloring when ALL the pages have been sketched out and accepted.
9) I will always keep you updated on the progress of each page. Showing the linework=>colors=>Finished.
10) I will only post a new page when that page has been paid. [Invoices only]
---I’d like to know ahead of time if you are able to pay for the pages in the week(s) or few days. Whichever you feel you are comfortable being able to pay. Please be financially okay when commissioning comics. Comics are more costly than regular image commissions. Especially if paying one page weekly. Be responsible in letting me know. Communication is very important when dealing with comics.
IMPORTANT REMINDER
Once the sketches and panels are set in stone you cannot have things changed later. If you change a panel/remove one it will ruin the flow of the comic. It will result in having to change everything beyond that point. This is why I sketch everything out. Within the sketch phase is the point where we can fix/change things if needed. If you are set on having it changed when the linework is being worked on at any point it will cost extra.
---If you ask me to change something please be committed to the change. If you ask me to do the change but then tell me to change it back because you just wanted to “see how it will look” will make it cost extra.
Too keep track of pages being done I will send you a link to the spreadsheet I have in google drive. That way you can check up on the progress of each page. It will also have the price set there so you know ahead of time how much each page costs, which have been paid, etc.
[Important]
Do know comic commission take a long time to work on. As I still do take regular commission as well while working on then. Know these are being paid per page and I will work on the commissioner on payment plans if needed.
But in the end I will want to make sure I either fully completed the comic or get to the halfway completion point before I start posting any page at all now.
