COMMISSION INFO AND TOS (Updated 03/25/19)

Thank you for your interest in commissioning art from me! Here are my prices and guidelines.

AVAILABILITY

I AM A PART TIME ARTIST. My usual turn around is 90 days, but I do not guarantee that. I am not a flake, but I only get 10 hours or so a week to work on art and most of my pieces are 20+ hours.

Open for non-commercial pieces.
Open for digital art.
Closed for traditional art.

I am focusing exclusively on digital art right now. In my mind, the background is a character as important as any subject, so with the exception of color sketches they are included in most of my art. Most of my work is currently artist's choice style pieces where you leave the creative bits mostly up to me.

THEMATIC PREFERENCES

It's always a good idea to get to know an artist before commissioning them. You'll get by far the best results out of me if you ask me to paint something for you that I can look forward to working on!

I strongly dislike fan art unless it inspires me. This does NOT extend to original characters/creatures/monsters from an existing setting – arcanine is hawt, just not a specific one from the show.

Settings I dislike (these are really weak on the dislike scale, ask me anyway!):
- Battlegrounds
- Anything you didn't make up (e.g. Helm's Deep, or the bridge of the Enterprise)

- Demons/Angels
- Tentacles

COMMISSION TYPES AND PRICING

ARTIST'S CHOICE CATEGORIES

For an artist's choice piece, you choose a keyword (and a kink, if applicable) and are mainly hands off for the remainder of the creation process.

Digital Color Sketch
$60 for a color sketch, $20 for each additional character, $5 DISCOUNT for adding Shiarra to the picture. No/vague background, very sketchy lines, no shading (generally, I've been known to lose my mind for a piece I love). These frequently turn into comic style images.

Simplified Artist Choice
$80 for a color illustration, $30 for each additional character, $5 DISCOUNT for adding Shiarra to the picture. Simple background, thick lively lines, basic shading.

Full Artist Choice
$100 for a color illustration, $40 for each additional character, $10 DISCOUNT for adding Shiarra to the picture. Complex background if called for, fine lines on a separate layer, full shading.

CLIENT GUIDED CATEGORIES

Digital Painting
Elaborate painted style image with complex subject matter and background, typically from custom real life photographic references. These take a number of hours but can be a very special piece in the end. $200 plus $65 for each additional character. $20 DISCOUNT for adding Shiarra to the picture.

Digital Badge
$55 for a printed, laminated con badge, $10 shipping if necessary. $10 additional for heavy shading.

Digital Ref Sheet
$100-200 for a ref sheet depending on complexity. As these are completely custom, message me for more info please.

TERMS OF SERVICE
1.) Right to refuse service. I do not have to accept any commission offered, though I will try to explain where doing so can be done politely.
2.) Deadlines. For non-commercial work I do not provide a deadline but I will attempt to stick to a reasonable time frame. This is not my day job and I make no excuses, but I keep all commissioned pieces listed on my FA profile so you can see where you are in the order of things at any time. I will skip around when I have multiple pieces in the queue, that said. If I am not overbooked, I aim to finish pieces within 90 days but during con season and if overbooked, that might go up slightly.
3.) Rush fees. If you need something on a specific date, I can rush the piece for an additional fee. Bring this up to me when inquiring about the commission.
4.) Payments. Payments are due through Paypal or Square before I will begin your piece. I will invoice you to the email address you provide when commissioning me.
5.) Refunds. Sales are final. Labor is non-refundable once work has begun. This is why I invoice you first. If a family emergency or similar life circumstance prevents me from finishing a piece within a reasonable time frame (3-6 months in worst case scenario) I will offer a refund or other options to the commissioner.
6.) The commissioner may upload the art to any site as long as credit is given and the signature is not blocked off.
7.) I retain the right to post all images on any gallery website and to use them commercially unless otherwise specified. If you are interested in a private image or purchasing commercial rights to an image, that should be the first thing you bring up when you approach me. Additional charges apply for private and commercial use to reflect my loss of use of the image.
8.) I own the rights to any sketch I create in the process of crafting your image and may use it for my own purposes.
