So, I have only a vague idea of what an Iron Artist challenge even is, but it's something I might be interested in doing.
It would be great if anyone who has done one/knows what it's all about and how it's done could fill me in, that'd be great!
I literally need to know everything possible as I have no idea how they're usually set up or run or anything.

generally staying in a cell to soft shading style and no painting

I have noticed that a lot of artist do like sketches or busts and offer a little deal so they are a bit cheaper than their normal prices OR they are something that can't be normally commissioned by the artist.
Hope that helps! ^.^
The most common challenge are 100 images drawn over a period of about three months, meaning one picture per day at least.
Based upon this premise every artist varies this challenge. Some do commissions (which are usually inexpensive sketches) while others stick to a list of themes or a predefined set of characters."
Doing the Iron Artist challenge isn't for everybody, Got to have lots of time and dedication for it. Some people will get their jimmies rustled if they don't get their IA commission done in time even if you've had a bad day or don't want to do it that day. (which is to be expected by any artist to have a bad/impatient client)
Hope this helps, if you plan to do this in the future I'd love to take a slot <3
the drawings are usually of a specific type like stated above, like headshots, busts, chibis, etc, usually with simple coloring due to them being done on a multiple-every-day basis
the details such as time and amount and what you draw/how changes from artist to artist according to their abilities, time, etc
sometimes people do the challenge on a commission base, and in turn offer relatively cheap commissions in order to get a large quantity of them to be done due to the challange's nature
hmm
I think that's all I know of it!
