YES THAT IS THE ONE I have the Surface 4

I like mine a lot tbh! I got mine just because it was SUPER light and portable so I can take it to coffee shops and stuff and not have to be a total hermit, and it being cheaper is also a bonus dghksdgls. The super high resolution is also reallllly nice! and TBH the only reason my pen broke was because... I was hanging out in the kitchen & it fell in the sink..... RI frickin P I'M AN ADULT it should be fine otherwise though, but I would recommend grabbing the extra nibs (it's so fucked up that they don't come with the actual surface though??? ok windows)

Though you use SAI right? I couldn't get it to work with SAI, but thankfully I'd already made the transition to Manga/Clip studio which is honestly very similar, kind of a Sai/Photoshop blend that has the bonus of handling large files better-- point being though I'd only consider it after trying Manga Studio and seeing if it works for you!

If you go with it I'd recommend skipping the Surface keyboard and grabbing a bluetooth one instead because you'll definitely need the shortcuts-- the pen's eraser doesn't have pressure sensitivity, so I just hold down E instead to erase-- and sometimes it's just easier to have the keyboard behind the screen or whatever when you're using those, haha

I've only used a Companion briefly, it was one of the older ones, and it was pretty nice? It was before I ever did any screen-drawing though so I can't say too much about it-- definitely if you want the ~*FULL WACOM EXPERIENCE*~ I'd go with that, but though the Surface/N-trig has a couple weird aspects (lines drawn SUPER fast get odd, touch gestures like rotate are fine in Manga Studio but don't play well with Photoshop CS6 ETC just dumb little things like that), it's not at all hard to work around :>

Yes, clip studio is rad and I've begun my transition with that program as well~ Glad to hear it's making it's rounds!

I heard that even the companion doesn't have proper calibration to the tip of the pen which has always been a downside for my HP Touchsmart TM2, on some parts of the screen near the edges, the cursor is nearly a centimeter away from the tip! I was wondering if you experienced this with the Surface?

the calibration is actually pretty good, no experiences with it straying very far near the edges! At most if you hould it almost entirely horizontally it'll be about 1mm away but THAT'S IT LOL. It's weird that the companion is so unruly even though it has you calibrating manually, and the surface is fine and there's not even an option TO calibrate :|
