UPDATE
I just wanted to extend and extreme level of thanks to the community thus far for sharing our message here on FA, twitter, facebook and other places, for all of your donations big and small, and for ALL of the well wishes and sympathies. We appreciate literally every little bit of help! We have reached 1/4 of our 16k goal already! That's HUGE you guys, we never expected so much support, and me and Aussie are both extremely humbled to have a community rally to this cause like they have. I've had myself a couple of cries already. I never wanted to have a situation like this transpire and obligate me to reach out to you guys for any more than you already give me by enjoying my artwork and sharing it so that I can continue working hard for you folks, but I am extremely grateful for all of the support you give me and my partner in being well and healthy too.
THANK YOU ALL!
I'm trying my best not to be REALLY ANNOYING with the frequency that I post reminders, but bare with me folks! I promise that this is all due to the proximity of our deadline! Hopefully in a couple of weeks I can resume spamming your inboxes with purely artwork =3
This is NOT a joke. I am being 100% Serious, please be respectful!
aussiexs needs your help! I'll do my best to explain what's happened below.

TL;DR: Aussie needs surgery, and insurance just told her she needs to front the 24k bill by April 20th before she can be reimbursed. If you would like to help, please consider donating to the gofundme above regardless of how little. Literally every little bit helps.
A verbatim quote from the gofundme page:
THIS IS URGENT! Our deadline is April 20th!
A short while ago Julia found out that she requires surgery. She's 20, works a full time job, and has run around as much as humanly possible to sort out how we can pay for the upcoming medical expense. We had 3 months to attempt coordinating insurance with the surgeon, and less than two weeks to the deadline we have been with certainty that although this surgeon deals with Julia's insurance company frequently, that they have never paid for a surgery done by this surgeon outright, and that we are expected to pay and be reimbursed.
Our hope is to raise funds for Julia's surgery so that we don't have to wait another half year or more to correct an issue that causes her pain and extreme complications every day.
Rest assured that we have attempted to gather as much as we can towards her medical costs as we can personally. Between what we both make, the bills we both need to pay that aren't related to the surgery, her travel and stay after surgery and the medical cost we have pooled together $10,000 out of the necessary $24,000. Julia has already exhausted her capacity to get a loan for the remainder, and I (her Fiancee Ryan) live outside of the USA and have also exhausted my capacity to get a loan for so much in USD.
It is not in either of our natures to ask for help with money. We both take pride in planning things in advance, in knowing our situation and the circumstances, but this process has exhausted our capacity to be prepared and left us with a very stressful ultimatum.
Any donation, however small, is extremely appreciated.
Additional information:
It's hard to ask for help, especially here, but with a deadline and both of our resources maxed out we've decided to at least TRY this.
The reality of this situation is that we tried SO HARD, did everything we could to our knowledge not having either dealt with insurance or a health risk so serious before, and we are still scrambling. I have been working double my usual load of work for months trying to deal with this, or a portion of it, and I still haven't been able to raise more than what we have in conjunction to our other expenses. I work HARD. And I'll work HARDER to try and make this possible.
Nobody deserves to be in pain. Nobody deserves to be told that their health can wait. And certainly with the amount I emphasize responsibility and forethought when I do talk here, I would hope some of you can empathize with how broadsided we are by the reality of having to raise 24k by April 20th (13 days away!) or... Aussie gets rescheduled, we undergo the same process with insurance and it literally changes nothing in terms of having to raise $24,000 to pay for this surgery. The only part it changes is that Aussie has to endure pain for longer.
We are reaching out to not only you guys, but our friends and family as well. Due to the extremely personal nature of the surgery we have chosen not to divulge the specific name of it. I understand COMPLETELY that not giving you guys a specific definition of what's wrong creates a cloud of doubt about the seriousness of what's going on, but as Aussie's partner I've respected her very important request in not doing so. As this is her struggle, her pain, her fear and ultimately her experience, I believe it's important to respect her amidst asking the public for help.
An offer you can't refuse
I am literally willing to slave myself out to try and get this goal reached.
I've just taken commissions, and my workload is busy for the next two weeks. i might open for commissions early for the two week block after that to try and help further (though that reaches a nearly unreasonably amount of waiting time in my opinion).
For those of you that DO decide to donate, I am willing to give you guys high resolution files of some of my works over the last year.
OR
For those of you that donate over 20$, I will give you a sketch. NOT a colored or shaded sketch, but a sketch.
If you're all about that incentive, you've got to be able to verify your donation. I don't have control over the gofundme account, so I'm not 100% certain if we can verify who does what, but I think you can input your name as the donator and that might be a clue.
-I expect that if you want your incentive that you contact me here, via twitter (at vallhound) or via email (vallhound@hotmail.com) PLEASE DON'T SPAM THE GOFUNDME WITH THAT.
Thank you to everyone that reads this. Share it if you want! Any help is greatly appreciated.
I'll keep posting. <3
