Colmaton Meme (Tagging Involved)
Ok, I usually don't create meme thingies but as I was driving around doing errands this morning, this idea came to me!
Here's how it works:
IF you are 'tagged' for this meme, you are invited to list up to five of your own original Colmaton-related characters (superfur, villain, support characters) and write a brief summary of how you came up with the name for that character!
If you have less than five characters, that's fine, just list what you have. If you have MORE than five Colmaton characters and want to list more, that's fine too, but let's make an absolute maximum of ten characters for this meme thingie, ok? We're looking for a quick read here, not a novel.
Then AFTER you post your response to this meme, then YOU can tag up to three more Colmaton group members to try their hand at this meme! Be sure to TELL the ones you picked directly about it, so they'll know.
With that in mind, I will begin:
1. Legal Beagle -- a slang term for 'great lawyer', I decided to create a superfur based on this expression. I made her Australian because I wanted to expand the Bureau of Superheroes to show it as International.
2. Power Pig -- He was based on a comic character from the now forgotten cartoon titled "U.S. Acres" about a barnyard pig who dawns a mask and cape and declares himself 'Power Pig'
3. La Kabong -- She was created from a casual group chat one night a month ago in the Colmaton chatroom. I mentioned the old Quick Draw McGraw hero El Kabong and in a matter of minutes, 'La Kabong' was born, even got a sketch of her that same night! Decided to make her a villain, since I can see La Kabong having more fun committing crimes than stopping them.
4. Texas Tilly -- The name came from the same Quick Draw McGraw cartoons, but that 'Texas Tilly' was a stereotypical 'damsel in distress' that needed to be rescued. I wanted MY Texas Tilly to be the exact opposite, so I chose her to be a bobcat, describing her personality as "Yosemite Sam in a dress".
5. Morningstar --
train helped me with the details on her bio, but basically, I wanted a strong, courageous Native American female to be the leader of the Bureau in North America. It was a natural choice for species (bison) to match her profile.
6. Bantam Beaver -- I wanted a pure fighting character and I remembered Goku's 'power pole' from Dragonball Z. I also wanted to create a beaver character from
sailoranna 's call for Beaver Appreciation Day (a tradition, sadly, that has been discontinued). Add these two factors together and you get.. Bantam Beaver!
7. Medic Mouse -- I modeled the same size and spunkiness of Medic Mouse from my own mother who stands 4' 11" but has always been a 'pillar of strength' in our family. No disrespect to those who create huge, towering superfur characters, but I wanted to prove to all that when it comes to heroics, size AND age does NOT necessarily matter!
8. 'Agent' Mojo -- Many in the Colmaton group suggested that I create my own personal fursona for the Colmaton Universe, but it wasn't until
princessrei strongly suggested that I create one (she also gave me helpful tips on this subject) that I finally agreed to it, creating British Secret Agent Mercurial Jones (Agent Mojo) just in time for me to use in a prize winning story entry in a contest sponsored by
wolfrider called 'Cluckfall.' I came up with making him a blend of James Bond and Austin Powers. YEAH, BABY!!
9. Rocka Khan -- I wanted to create a Mexican superhero and went to my love of old time TV wrestling to get one. Lucha Libre is Mexico's version of the WWE so I combined this with a one-off character I saw on the old Teen Titans cartoon Terra, an earthmover, to create a wolverine mix named Rocka Khan.
10. El Diablo -- I really loved the character 'Puss In Boots' from the Shrek movie franchise, but I didn't want to create a 'cookie cutter' hero clone of him in Colmaton. I decided to go the opposite way, recreating the same sword swinging orange cat character as an inept villain with illusions of grandeur. El Diablo was never meant to be an overpowering foe, he's more like a 'thorn in the side' of superfurs (particularly, the ladies) than a major threat.
Ok, there's your sample.
Now, I will tag the following three Colmaton group members:

wolfrider and

Good luck and HAVE FUN with this!!!!
