🐤 The origins of Furikake 🐤

I was gonna tell this story whenever I made a proper ref of what I consider to be my "FA-sona", but that never happened because I'm lazy, sooOO...
Furikake is a white-faced cockatiel that my ex bought for me way back (kinda weird wording it like that, but that's how I got her!) It was partially a funny story because we bought her thinking she was female-- she had a dull face and the spotty patterning under her tail, BUT LO AND BEHOLD, she shed and became a man, lmfao. By the time that happened, we were so used to calling her a she so we just went with it. That's why when I made a character based off of her, I wanted a male character that identified as female. There's some real old sketches of her in my scraps somewhere ahaha.
She sometimes sings Saria's Song and the Final Fantasy Fanfare, although poorly.
Furikake is a Japanese seasoning you put on top of rice-- which also gave me the nickname of "Rice Friend" somewhere down the road. Pronounced "Foo-ree-kah-keh", or fury bukakke I don't care lmfao
As for my FA name, at the time I just wanted an account that I could use that people wouldn't associate to my online name that I use literally everywhere else; Talikira
For awhile it was just a lurker account, but eventually I started posting to it-- and I got enough followers that I didn't want to go through the hassle of switching accounts. Lately I've cared less and less if people know about this account. I sin to win and I'm proud of it LOL
But yeah, just a little tidbit I thought I'd share since I posted that new profile id of her!

this is an awesome cute lil journal, luv the stories omg
when I was younger my family had a cocky that we thought was female too for the longest time.. but it never laid any eggs like our first one
But I guess it's because my mind is more inclined to humor and whimsy than lewds :P Cool to know the origins though :) heh... rice friend :P
