Red Draggy Review - Sonic Generations (3DS and Steam)
✯✯✯✯ The Red Draggy who rawrs, hugs and is open for commissions presents... ✯✯✯✯ First of all, I have wanted to review this game for AGES. But I didn't want to until I beat it for Steam too. And I couldn't do it! Until I got the better computer for my hatchday. Also, would this count as two reviews? Well even if it does, we did have 2 Sonics in game so, why not two reviews for two different versions! Classic and Modern! So without further ado...
The red draggy has played, beaten and LOVED this amazing timeline of Sonic the Hedgehog events we all know as Sonic Generations. I give this game a 9 out of 10. That's right. A NINE. Let's get started!
First off. I love the fact that you play on Sonic's timeline. All the way from day one all the way up to Sonic Colours. Sonic and the gang get kidnapped while celebrating Sonic's birthday and they all get lost throughout time. It's up to you to meet up with past Sonic to save everyone while going through levels that'll take you down memory lane. Here's what I thought was amazing though. Sonic Generations for Steam had you go through levels from CONSOLES while the 3DS version had you go through levels from the HANDHELDS. Genius right??? Well, here's what we had.
STEAM:
Green Hill Zone (S1)
Chemical Plant Zone (S2)
Sky Sanctuary (SNK+3)
Speed Highway (Sonic Adventure)
City Escape (Sonic Adventure 2)
Seaside Hill (Sonic Heroes)
Crisis City (Sonic 2006)
Rooftop Run (Sonic Unleashed)
Planet Wisp (Sonic Colours Wii)
3DS:
Green Hill Zone (S1)
Casino Night Zone (S2)
Mushroom Hill (SNK+3)
Emerald Coast (Sonic Adventure)
Radical Highway (Sonic Adventure 2)
Water Palace (Sonic Rush)
Tropical Resort (Sonic Colours DS)
These are all amazing levels. And the gameplay is stunning. Each level has two versions. Classic and Modern. Depending on which Sonic you play as! Classic has you running in the famed 2D platforming mode with a little 2.5D thrown into the mix. Modern has you playing the game in full 3D. Amazing! And the music is different with each Classic and Modern, remixed from the original from the game it originated from! Unfortunately there are no special stages in the Steam version as you run around doing Rival battles for emeralds like going against Metal Sonic, Silver and Shadow. The 3DS version however DOES have special stages. From Sonic Heroes! So would I recommend this to a Sonic fan? YES. If you've been there since 1991, you'll get served lots of memories. If you're just starting out, learn where your amazing blue hedgehog came from! Whether you play the 3DS or Steam version, you know you'll be going fast, collecting rings, saving friends and having fun!
FAVOURITES!
Favourite Worlds: Sky Sanctuary and Planet Wisp. From Sonic and Knuckles and Sonic Colours.
Favourite Boss: The first one from Sonic 2.
Least Favourite World: Crisis City. Ugh. I'm sorry fans of Sonic 2006 but I can see why that game was the abomination of the series. It sucked. Especially the modern version. The classic version had me chasing after the goal post! >.=.<
Least Favourite Boss: Time Eater. The one for Steam had my head spinning. I beat it though and got an S rank and I got a C rank on the 3DS counterpart.

Favourite music: Rooftop Run BOTH Classic and Modern. I can't choose between the two.Rooftop Run Classic_______________________Rooftop Run Modern
Like reading my reviews? This makes the 5th one! There's more to come in the future!

Can the good Sonic games like the Classics/Adventure work on Windows 10?
I've made my steam account BTW.
And awesome! Your username is Dracat right? I sent you a friend request already. Hehe. ^.=.^
I've received your friend request! ^^
When I first joined Steam I did try adding you as a friend but it wouldn't let me due to not having some requirements. -_-
