For those who have not heard, I just got out of the hospital.
Long story made short without any gross stuff included;
I got really sick Sunday night, along with lots of pain. I went to the Emergency Room on Monday morning around 9 am because I felt so horrible.
They kept me in the ER with an IV until about 3 pm, and then they released me with some medicine to take. The virus gave me an infection, so I had 2 things I was dealing with.
A few hours after I returned home, I felt a bit better, however I started experiencing chest and back pain, and it got very severe in the night. I could not take a deep breath, and the biggest breath I could take was painful.
So Tuesday morning, I went back to the ER, and this time they took me right back and did lots of big tests, like a Catscan (haha, because I am a cat), an X-Ray, and ultrasound of my organs.
Since they could not find any issues, they sent me up to cardiology for 24 hour monitoring. Once I was up there, they did another ultrasound on my heart.
The doctors were baffled at this mysterious pain with hardly any symptoms of any worrisome health issue (I was negative on all accounts for stroke, and my tests kept saying I am a very healthy individual).
Finally, one doctor had a decent guess at what it was, and so they tried the medicine for it. 15 minutes later, no pain and I could breathe deeply again.
So what I had was called 'Acute pericarditis' and basically the virus I had the day before decided to inflame the areas around my heart and lungs.
Since I was/am healthy, my body was already trying to fight it off, however, it was already decided that I needed to stay for the night, and they would keep me on the medicine.
I woke up the next morning, and by noon, I was released. I spent most of my day yesterday getting my medicines from 2 pharmacies and resting in bed.
I have a lot of medicine I am on, and my body is still recovering for the next week. The medicine makes me tired and drowsy, and it is difficult to focus on certain tasks.
It took a lot just to type this update to you guys, however, I am getting better and I am home resting now.
Now for the commissioner updates.
The doctors want me to rest and no stress/work for a minimum of 2-3 days. Today counts as day 1.
I hope to be working again by Sunday or Monday. I am on most of these medications for 2 weeks, only 1 medicine is stopped on Sunday.
So, unfortunately, work is going to be very slow right now.
I already lost 3 days in the hospital, and I am losing a few more until I can get on my feet again.
Those commissioners that we are attempting to finish in time for AnthroCon- I am doing my best, I cannot guarantee they will be done at this point, and I am very very sorry.
I have my volunteers still coming in to help catch up on some work, however my tasks are still behind.
I promise we will do our best to get the fursuits out to you all.
I have 3 boxes ready to be shipped that were supposed to ship on Monday, I will see about getting them shipped tomorrow with the help of one of my assistants. (Zack Fox, Hatoma, Borealis)
Thank you all for the warm wishes on Twitter & Facebook, I appreciate the support and love during the past rough few days.
Thank you all for understanding our situation.
I will be able to check messages and answer back to people again starting (hopefully) Monday at the latest.
