Everyone is biased against fursuits? Where do you get that bit of logic? Last I checked, there are tons of people who love fursuits, love getting hugs from someone else's living, walking, breathing and sometimes talking character, and there are a ton of people whom have been to (and even more whom have not been to) conventions who they all want a fursuit so badly that they'd probably kill to have one.

Granted, I feel bad for the people who think "all i need to be a real furry is a fursuit", because, they could get it, realize how hot it is, not be dramatic enough while in suit and get overlooked, and then end up leaving it in a closet to collect dust. That's worst case scenario though.

Perhaps you meant to say everyone is biased towards their favorite suits, or the ones they see more often?

I'm sure he meant that hun. It was really late at night when I made this journal. But you are right about the all ya need to be noticed or real fur is a fursuit. Hell I may have one, but everyone knows me more out of suit than in suit. Some people will never learn that. But they will in future times.

Yeah, I can say I knew you out of suit before you in character. :3 I cant decide which is smexier and nicer either. ^^

I pretty much thought it would be the same when I saw it. Though really, maybe I just don't know enough about her, she seemed nice the few times I talked to her, but I dunno.

Probably the reason I don't really think most of us fit into the 'popular crowd' is because we care. We worry about others and care about what happens to each other, so because we spend so much energy on each other, we aren't elevated to 'popular'.

*hugs* I voted for you, not just because yer cute, but because I'm glad to know you. :) There is no rhyme or reason behind the tournament, it's simply face shots against face shots. We don't earn our places in the tournaments, there's no appeal, and no changing your votes once it's been cast.

I think that maybe three way matches might be the only way some of the popular suits might actually need to fight for votes, and it's likely they don't even care. Of course, we all want to stroke our egos a bit, but considering that it was started by furs on their own, blundered through it's first year with controversy, and continues in subsequent years with drama every year, are we really surprised that things like this happen?

IMHO, I don't really believe either of the two winners from previous years would've won if they were up against the 'right' suits. It's all about just avoiding the popular suits long enough and hoping they wipe each other out. Begging for votes doesn't work, I've never seen it sway enough support for it to matter.

Do I have a point? I don't know. Just that I'd rather care about my friends than a tournament based on face shots, and I won't lose a moment of sleep from my own elimination. It is what it is, and I hold no ill will against my competition. :)

I was a little surprised it went the opposite way, I won 60/40 the first time and this time it flipped. Of course, once a lead was established I wasn't surprised, and didn't think it would make a difference if I thumped the ground or not, so I elected to take the classy approach and just let it do what it did. *hugs* :)

Amen to that, but I have to add the fact that she is friends with what most people whom ENVY fursuits and fursuiters think is the "best and only good builder of suits out there" in the fandom; when in fact, all they see are pics and videos of Latin's stuff, more often than pics and videos of others.

I was never like that, personally, though I will admit Latin is a very very upstanding builder and artist (though, I do get the random comment from time to time asking if she is ...snooty(?) because some people always see her with her "kind" [in reference to her hanging out with the furs she builds suits for] at cons).

Your suit is cute, btw. One of her best, for sure.

Oh, LV is a nice person. She's not snooty at all, though I do think that through no fault of her own she attracts cronies and yes men, which may lend itself to that perception.

Lauren is the only mixedcandy zebra, and so far I think I'm one of the few creatures she's only made one of.

She looks nice (your suit, Lauren). Cant argue with that. And, as for Latin, I have never spoken to her, so I never confirm anyone's feelings. I sorta shrug it off and say "why dont you get to know her before you pass a judgment on?" :3 That's personally what I would do, if I werent busy hanging around with my own friends and clique at cons. Everyone has their group, and...she just happens to...attract...guys. Well, not really much on this guy; as I am attracted to guys myself *giggles*.

Oh if only I were able to get to AC, but I took a job, which is more important in these days to my upcoming cross-country move.
