Finally for this back up after my journals all got deleted when FA was attacked -n- I will soon be making easier to read off site versions for my TOS and Prices but for now here we are! Please have a read <3
I RECOMMEND READING THIS TOS IN FULL SO THAT YOU UNDERSTAND HOW I WORK AND MY TERMS FOR COMMISSIONS, FOR YOURSELF AS MUCH AS ANYTHING, IT'S BETTER TO BE INFORMED SO YOU AREN'T CAUGHT OUT!
>>>ALWAYS CREDIT MY WORK. DO NOT REPOST/UPLOAD MY WORK WITHOUT CREDITING ME<<<
PRICE LIST - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/25918521/
My main price list is priced in GBP, I will ask for payments in GBP. Please do not ask me how much prices are in your own currency, I'm never sure as exchange rates change daily so if you could please check online and find out how much this would be in your own currency it will be a lot quicker for both of us and your commission will be ready to go a lot quicker!
NOTE: please do not complain about exchange rates as unfortunately the economy is something I can't really control, please be understanding! Thank you.
ESTIMATES/QUOTES:
All prices on price lists or commission offers are BASE prices. Which means they are the lowest the commission will be. When I am noted with commission details and character references, I will give you a quote for how much your commission will cost, as there will be additional cost depending on:
.Material (fetish/Kink art etc.)
.Complexity of Characters
.Amount of Characters.
.Complexity of scene, background, pose etc
. Vehicles
. Armour
. Complexity of clothing.
PAYMENTS:
All payments will be taken through PayPal unless stated otherwise. My PayPal is - HomicidalHobbitArt@gmail.com.
Please pay for your commission using Goods and Services.
ALL payments are also taken in full upfront, unless the commission is extremely costly. (Over £200) in these cases I am happy to take a NON-REFUNDABLE Deposit of half. If you are worried about not being able to pay for a large commission up front please ask! <3 I am more than happy to discuss payments with you if you would like to set up a payment plan.
EMERGENCIES: IF YOU NEED YOUR MONEY BACK:
.If you wish to cancel a commission for personal reasons, if there has been an emergency let me know as soon as possible. I will cancel your commission and refund you as soon as possible.
.Unfortunately if I have already started your commission I will not be able to refund you in full. But I WILL stop your commission where it is, you will get the piece at the point it is at and I will refund you the difference.
ALSO: In these cases I am more than happy to continue your commission once you have the money to continue again, but I MUST be informed of this intention when you contact me about needing your money returned so that I can keep the PSD/SAI File to work on later.
QUEUES:
.I do not add your commission to my work queue until I have received payment.
.I do not start work before I have received payment.
.I will send a sketch WIP to you so you can let me know if there is anything you would like changing.
.If you would like more previews ask me about them, but they WILL NOT ever be given before payment.
REFERENCES
Clear, unshaded references are preferable and the best for me to work from. But I can take any other visual references. I am a visual artist and I require visual references.
World of Warcraft/Second Life/The Elder Scrolls/etc reference pictures are acceptable. However, as the commissioner supplying me with shaded/unclear references, you must understand that I may not get all the colours/details correct. As a commissioner, you accept this and understand that if something is presented unclear, that you are not entitled to edits for your unclarity. An edit fee will be charged if you want changes to be made.
However if I make a mistake when the reference was clear, I will happily edit it for free to the best of my ability.
DEADLINES:
IN MOST CASES I do NOT work to deadlines. There will be exceptions for Conventions and things of this nature (Weddings/Birthday's Events). But even in these cases I would prefer if I could be told in advance,so that I can get the piece finished in time. I am easily stressed by working in this way. And it is also unfair for me to prioritise commissions and push other things to the back of my list.
For ANY commission working to a deadline that I deem short notice, I will place a charge. The closer that deadline the more I will charge.
COMMISSION ETA'S
Depending on what is happening in my personal life I can have work done quite quickly, but commissions can take up to 2 months if things are slow and I have a lot of other work or life events going on/my mental health is suffering, I will to the best of my efforts complete all commissions within this time frame. If I feel like I won't do so I will contact you and we can discuss the progress of your commission.
PRIVATE COMMISSIONS:
I will NOT take private commissions, But I will offer to make your commission anonymous for no extra charge!
MY RIGHTS AS THE ARTIST:
.It is perfectly within my right to refuse you a commission for any reason.
.It is my right to cancel your commission at whatever point it is at and refund you the difference.
.I will not re-do a commission unless I myself am unhappy with the work.
Small changes are completely fine, please tell me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. But anything that would mean I would need to re-start a work entirely will not be doable, as the only way that this could happen would be if:
I reserve the right to refuse/cancel a commission due to:
- poor communication
- rude or inappropriate behaviour
- Inability to communicate in effective English.
.You will not be refunded if for complaints about my drawing style/way of working, you should check my gallery before you commission to avoid this.
.I was given incorrect/insufficient information or reference to do the work correctly.
.I will not be responsible for anything in the work where the commissioner was at fault.
.IF in these cases you really want your commission re-done you will have to pay for another commission.
IMPORTANT – Treat me with respect please.
I have been treated very poorly in the past by commissioners and there are things that I will not stand for from commissioners, along with things that I very much do not appreciate and may even ignore your commission request for or in cases cancel your commission.
ETIQUETTE WHEN COMMISSIONING ME.
DO NOT complain about my prices to me:
.If you feel my prices are high, or anyone for that matter, remember people think hard about what they feel is a fair price for their time and effort and the return in their own personal currency.
And you must also think before you say things like “Well [Insert Artist Name] Charges less and their art is better”
Think how unprofessional this is. As well as unkind. If you would like to commission an artist you must like their work to want art from them surely? So insulting them and saying their art isn't worth what they charge is incredibly rude and hurtful.
ALSO: When it comes to making commission work there are different kinds of artists. Hobby artists who may do commissions alongside their job, or Artists who (Like me at this time) Have their commission work as their main, or only source of income. Before you comment on someone's prices, consider that this might be their lively hood, and that their prices may be the difference between eating and not.
.Art is a luxury item, it is not like food, utilities or any other item needed to live. if you want it, you save up for it just like you would for a Video Game, or a CD, or a new TV. Keep this in mind too, complaining to an artist you don't have the money for their work and that they should charge less is unfair. If you would like art work, save for it and come to that artist when you have the funds.
.Though art IS a luxury item you have to remember that it also service, art doesn't pop out of a machine, a person works hard for years learning to make what they make, and work tirelessly for hours to create something unique just for you. Be respectful.
PLEASE: If you message about a commission you can no longer afford, or do not want to continue with. NOTE ME TO SAY SO. It's very disheartening to receive messages about commissions to the point of agreeing on a price and exchanging payment information to then never hearing anything back from that person.
It isn't difficult to message someone and say you can no longer afford a commission, found someone else to do it, or some other reason, as long as you explain politely, the artist might be disheartened but they won't be left hanging. Also I would like to add, on FA people know when you have read their notes, so it doesn't work to pretend you didn't receive them.
.Please do not constantly ask for progress. I will do commissions in my own time, even if you are continuously asking me 'How's it going' It causes me a lot of stress. I suffer anxiety and and chronic stress. If I find that you are making me feel uncomfortable I will put your commission on hold until you agree to stop hassling me or cancel it all together.
Doing work under pressure means I will not be working at my best and the piece will not turn out as well as it should
I don't want to rush anyone's piece and I want you to have the full quality that you are paying for!
BULLYING OR MISTREATMENT:
If you are rude, cruel or offensive to me, It is well within my right to not start your commission, or cancel it at the point it is at, in these cases I will refund you fully or partially depending and not continue with your work. I may also choose to blacklist you from commissioning me in the future and or block you entirely. Anyone behaving badly towards me, disputing/refusing payments without cause, or behaving in an aggressive, abusive or cruel manner will also be reported to FA and other pages warning artists about toxic commissioners.
WHEN COMMISSIONING ME YOU ARE AGREEING THAT I MAY:
.Use any work that I create in portfolios, To sell prints , T-shirts , products, share as patreon rewards etc. (unless agreed otherwise e.g. If commission is private)
.That I may use your commissions in advertisements, banners, or examples.
. If you agree a commission with me you are agreeing to these terms unless you wish the copyright for the picture itself to be sold to you, which can be discussed, but this is highly unlikely.
THINGS YOU MAY NOT DO WITH MY WORK.
.Please do not edit any work I do for you without permission .
This includes using work for icons, reference sheets, etc. Please just ask before editing,
I am usually very easy going with these things, but I do not like it done without permission
. DO NOT RESELL/REPRODUCE ANYTHING I HAVE DRAWN/SOLD TO/FOR YOU TO ANYONE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.
This goes especially in the cases of custom characters created for you, or adoptable characters.
If you wish to re-sell a character ask me, I do not like characters to be sold for more than they were bought for if they are not coming with additional art. Again this comes under re-selling my art work for profit. You may sell the character for what you got it for or under, with additional cost for art work you are selling with that character.
.I DO NOT WANT MY ART USED IN COLLABORATION COMMISSIONS WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE.
For example if you commission a line art from me, and then commission another artist to colour that line art for you. If you want to do this ASK. The answer will most likely be no.
If you want it coloured/Shaded etc. I would rather you pay me to do it.
.HOWEVER: I do not mind if you wish to colour in the art work yourself, again as long as I am asked and credited for my commission.
NSFW COMMISSIONS
In commissioning adult work, you are agreeing that you are of legal age to purchase and view such content. I DO NOT ACCEPT NSFW COMMISSIONS FROM PEOPLE UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE. Please do not lie about your age when commissioning NSFW art you could land the artist in a lot of trouble, and I don't want to lose my account or worse due to being put in this situation.
.DO NOT RE-SELL MY WORK. DO NOT PRINT,REDISTRIBUTE OR CLAIM THE WORK AS YOUR OWN, I WILL NOT EVER GIVE PERMISSION FOR MY ART TO BE SOLD FOR PROFIT.
IF I, OR ANYONE CATCH YOU DOING THIS I WILL TAKE ACTION AGAINST YOU.
FAQ's
Q. Can I upload my commission to my FA, Facebook etc.?
A. Of course you may! In fact I really love to see my work being appreciated. All I ask is that wherever you upload the image I am CREDITED IN FULL. So give a link to my FA a page, or even a link back to the original if you would like.
Q. Are you open for commissions?
A. I am pretty much ALWAYS open for commissions I don't actually close them! But check my gallery and journals for offers and special commissions. However if I am closed it will usually say in whatever featured journal I have on my front page so keep an eye out!
Q. Will you work from a description of my character?
A. (read above 'REFERENCES' section)I can work from descriptions, but I prefer clear digital image references. You will probably find I will ask for extra costs working from description. But I won't not work from them, especially when making reference sheets. I would also probably ask for you to watch me live-stream your commission so that I can get the character how you want it~
HOWEVER: I will not take responsibility for any mistakes made from an unclear written description, I am also mildly dyslexic, please take this into consideration, I will not remedy anything that is the fault of the commissioner, and any edits that are wanted in these situations will come with a fee.
Q. Do you do live-streams?
A. Yes I do! As frequently as I can~
Q. Do you do live-stream commissions?
A. Yes, I'm usually up for doing commissions in live-streams if I have no queue or if they have been advertised specifically by journal~
Q. My character's colours/design has changed, can I edit your commission of them?
A. This will be case by case depends on what you want to do to my work, I don't really like to see my work re-coloured etc. But if you want me to do a new commission of your new design I am more than happy! I may even do edits myself for a small fee.
Q. Do you do requests/Free art.
A. Not often. Commissions are my only income at the moment they are my main focus. But check journals and streams for raffles/opportunities for free art.
Q. Can I print your work out to put on my wall?
A. Of course you can!! You can use your commission in anyway for personal use, if you want to have a poster on your wall, or a t-shirt etc. go for it! All I ask for is that I am credited and that it is PERSONAL USE, no profit can be made from my work.
Q. Am I allowed to commission for a friend, as a gift?
A. Of course you may! My only problem with this is please make sure that person is willing to have their character drawn first, and I the work is NSFW or includes kinks/fetishes or sexual situations with other characters PLEASE check that this person is comfortable with this first. I don't want to get in trouble with the person you are having art done of/for and I cannot check myself for every commission.
Q. What fetishes do you do?
A. I do pretty much anything actually! Note me about what you are interested in, honestly there aren't really many things I am squeamish about so don't be afraid to ask. I do however have a do and don't list underneath my prices which might help~
Any other questions please don't be afraid to ask! I am more than happy to answer questions not answered here! :3
