Backstory: Mavrik Fletcher was born as a human in New Age York where he was soon known for his intelligence, far fetched thinking, and interest in the unexplainable. He went to college and got several degrees in scientific engineering, biomedical science, and study of pre-war artifacts. He soon become very successful as a scientists and an inventor, being credited with the invention of advanced nanorobotics and limited AI. Meanwhile, his interest in the unexplainable led him to investigate many items and artifacts considered magical or supernatural. This was made easy by his lifetime friend, Timothy Alwood, who was a pre-war archeologist and who constantly brought him things from his travels and digs. One evening, Timothy brought a Talon Pendant that had been givin to him by a mysterious man who had said it was an object of great power. Timothy explained that he had yet to see anything suggesting any kind of power, but Mavrik was interested nonetheless. Without going into too much detail, Mavrik somehow triggered the pendant and was transformed into an anthropomorphic black falcon. Drawn to the talisman, he now wears it at all times, constantly searching for items of similar power to try and understand it.
