Anyone have pokimans cards?

Lemme explain, but feel free to skip. My first job I ever had was at a comic and game store. I used to teach kids how to play the game, make sure they made fair trades with each other and occasionally host tournaments. Me and some friends even acted as gym leaders, constructing themed decks and give kids a stamp on their trainer card if they could defeat us. The store closed and soon after I sold all my cards on a whim for almost nothing. Ever since I have regretted it, because of the sentimental value and memories. I have seen the cards at flea markets and other places and there's always been an itch to try get my collection back, but I've never acted on it. So again feeling wistful, last week week I acted on a whim and bought a total of 3000 cards from online sellers to see if I could jumpstart a collection, see if it would give me some peace of mind. I even spend a few days making a huge checklist of all the cards I would be after. I was extremely disappointed though, as they all sold me huge stacks of cards that were for the majority either damaged, fake, non English or from series I wasn't interested in. I stupidly mixed all the stacks (in my excitement) when I was sorting through them, otherwise I would have been able to try get my money back through the website that hosted the sellers, they wouldn't reply to my comments otherwise. I guess I'll try to sell them myself, not sure how successful I will be because my conscience won't let me sell them without notifying potential buyers of the amount of fake, damaged and non English cards in there. It was an expensive lesson.

So anyway, right now I'm feeling a bit defeated about it. With all the time and effort spent on it I still want to give it a go. So my question is, does anyone have any cards they wouldn't mind offering up? I would accept single or just a few commons and uncommons even because I have to start from scratch, but right now I'm not sitting on any frivolous spending money anymore (unless I could find a buyer willing to spend as much as I did on the cards I have now). I could offer to draw something in return for it though, might help me to draw more.

What am I looking for:

I want to collect all unique pokemon cards (so not the trainers or energy etc)
from the sets Base all the way to Power Keepers and all promo sets printed during the release of these sets (so nothing from Diamond/Pearl and beyond).
I'm only looking to get one card of each, the only cards I consider getting doubles for are those that have multiple evolutions within the same set (so like Eevee and Clamperl). Probably.
If cards are reprints (like the Base 2 and Legendary Collection set) I'm only looking for one version of it, not fussy whether it's the reprint or the original.

What I'm NOT looking for:

- Cards that are not printed in English
- Fake cards
- Damaged cards. I don't mind them having a bit of a 'played' look to them, like tiny white scuffs on the edges, but no bends, cuts or stains.
- Holofoil doubles or reverse holofoil cards. I know some sets have holofoil versions of rare cards (like the entire Jungle set), but I don't want those. If I absolutely have to complete my collection with holofoil cards, I wouldn't be too upset, but I much prefer a non holo version of every card if possible.
- Misprints or 1st Edition or anything special about them. I know they're super valuable, but that's why I don't want to have them. Again I won't turn down a 1st Edition card if it'll complete my collection, but I don't care if my cards are 1st edition or not.
- Reprints or originals of a card I already have. Base Gastly appears in Base and Base 2, but I only want one, either is fine. If the art is different, I guess the prettiest one is preferred? i dunno


I understand that these cards are valuable, so please don't think I'm just begging around for them. I'll happily consider it a paid commission. I'm stilla bit wishy washy about what you can get for how many cards, but I consider a handful of cards (like 10 rares) should at least get you a sketch.
