I need to go back to week 1 I was a bad student ;-;
No worries. This is more of a self study with me just giving gently reminders and gifts to study.
Go back to week one and I hope you enjoy it! No need to play catch up, just go at a comfortable pace.
One of the toughest things about starting this is creating a routine. But once you find a routine that works for you, it'll be soon much easier!
I hope some of your stressors are starting to let up.
2. I don't really have one yet xD
3. Keeping my brain focused enough to finish the task.
4. I tried it, and I'm getting there :D
Ok, if you don't have a favorite, then how about something that just stuck real easy?
And yes! Getting through that first few weeks of studying is hard! Once the routine is created it gets a lot easier.
I hope you get feeling better soon!
2. I really like 'です' :3 idk why lol. Also I like saying words like '私' which have a's separating the consonants :) My favourite thing that I learnt is when you told me that yakitori is very popular and I can get it in most restaurants :D
3. Pronunciation of some words is hard which I'll explain more in 4 :p
4. Why can't I say 'こんばんは'?! I can't make the nasal sounds :( I have been practicing words with 'r' in because that's a new sound so sometimes I forget :s I think I'm doing ok with the speaking except for them though ^_^
That is awesome that you are getting that hiragana down! Well done!
And Izakayas will be your best friend out here!
Yeah that ん sound can be tricky at first. I just think of it like humming, or when saying hum, just pushing my tongue to the roof of my mouth.
Doing great!
Sorry I was late with it (o^^o)
Can you note me your address?
Okay dokie
Do you have any words or even kanji that really stand out for you?
Would you like me start posting the next level stuff too?
2. I like お a lot for some reason. I also like あき and いか
3. I seem to get tripped up on words that either aren't pronounced closely to the way I expected them to be, or words that seem like letter sounds are completely silent until they're broken down. For example, I had to listen to "no omiyage" multiple times before I felt like I heard it right.
4. I'm sure that I still butcher a few of the words that I have this ^ issue with, plus I have a southern accent that probably doesn't help. Otherwise, I feel pretty confident about it.
well done!! I really like the word あき too! Fun to say!
Yeah, the listening is super tricky there. Some sounds are dropped, but others get slightly blended.
When I was teaching (English) in High School, I would have to drill students with listening again and again, slow it down, break it up... But even myself sometimes it can take ten or more times.
You are doing great!!
2. Nothing too interesting to share this week, but I got to go to a concert and wear an all rubber-ducky outfit so that was fun
3. To be determined, have yet to finish it. Worked the entire weekend 10 hour shifts (busy due to US holiday) and had a career fair/interviews to prep for Tuesday. I want to get to the rest of the assignment by the end of Friday
4. Have not attempted this week, still good with last week's
Keep going with the second :) an all rubber ducks outfit? That sounds amazing! And really hot. What the heck does that look like?
When getting busy, it's really understandable, and that sounds like a busy last few days!
2. I love writing the characters. Is that weird? Though I think I really need to work on it because every time I write them out they look a little different o.0 Not enough swoosh here, too much there, I dunno >_<
3. Everything? I am not sure why my head just isn't grasping things. Maybe because I have a lot on my mind? I'm trying my best though to keep trudging forward.
4. I haven't attempted. ;u; I'm sorry.
I really want to do this but I just feel very overwhelmed with other things in my life and I really want to be supportive so i'm just going to keep continuing on. I'm sorry im so incredibly slow with everything right now. :/
Well done! I think it is fun to write hiragana too, and I adore writing kanji, especially with the fude(brush). Experiment and find what you like, don't worry it'd leant have to be exactly the same every time (unless you want to get into calligraphy)
When we just start studying again, sometimes our brain resists us.. Keep trudging forward, it will get easier ;) I promise.
Don't worry about being slow. We are here. *Hugs*
